Pumpkins don’t have to be limited to traditional orange, and they definitely don’t have to be just for Halloween! For this month’s Online Card Class, I created three fall cards with the Painted Pumpkins Bundle and Painted Patch Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!®️.

We’ll use the stamps, decorative masks, and dies in several different ways, including a fabulous gate fun fold. There’s plenty of orange, of course, but I also brought in Pool Party, Secret Sea, Petal Pink, and Golden Glow for three very different fall looks.

Keep reading to see all three cards and learn how you can get the complete Painted Pumpkins tutorial bundle.

Painted Pumpkins Online Card Class Video

In the video below, I’ll walk you through all three cards step by step. We’ll use blending brushes and decorative masks, color with Stampin’ Blends, and put together an interactive fun fold card with the gate die from the Painted Pumpkins Bundle.
Painted Pumpkins Tutorial Bundle
Create beautifully shaded pumpkins without stamping them! This fall thank-you card uses the decorative masks from the Painted Pumpkins Bundle by Stampin’ Up!®️ with Timid Tiger, Cajun Craze, and Pecan Pie ink. See how the masked pumpkins, layered green vines, and Softly Woven embossed background come together in the video tutorial.

Masked Pumpkin Thank-You Card

For the first card, I used the decorative masks to create both the pumpkins and the leafy background. The pumpkins weren’t stamped at all. They were colored entirely with blending brushes and the masks using Timid Tiger, Cajun Craze, and Pecan Pie ink.

I used the vine mask twice over the Old Olive cardstock to create a fuller patch of leaves in different shades of green. Behind it, the Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder adds a subtle woven texture. I also blended a little additional Old Olive ink around the edges of the embossed layer to give it more depth.

The simple “Thank You” sentiment was stamped in Old Olive, and a few Cajun Craze Painted Patch Dots add the finishing touch.

Gate Fun Fold Card

The large gate die in the Painted Pumpkins Bundle was just asking to become part of a fun fold card. This Golden Glow card folds on the right, while the die-cut gate swings open toward the left to reveal the first part of the greeting.

Open the gate and you’ll find a simple “Hey” waiting underneath. Then, when the right side of the card opens, the rest of the message reads, “I hope your day is fabulous.”

I stamped the pumpkins in Early Espresso and colored them with Timid Tiger and Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends. A little Pecan Pie ink blended around the gate and fence helps bring out the wonderful wood-grain details created by the dies.

This fold is such a fun way to use the gate as more than a decorative layer. It becomes an interactive part of the card and creates two separate reveals for the greeting.
A die-cut garden gate becomes the closure for this interactive fall card! The closed gate fun fold features a Golden Glow card base, Painted Patch Designer Series Paper, and pumpkins from the Painted Pumpkins Bundle by Stampin’ Up!®️. Visit the blog to learn how to recreate this fun fold card.
Open the gate for a surprise greeting! This Painted Pumpkins fun fold card from Stampin’ Up!®️ features a wood-grain gate that swings to the left and reveals a cheerful “Hey” message with colorful stamped pumpkins. Watch the step-by-step cardmaking video to see how the interactive fold works.
This fall fun fold has more than one surprise inside! After opening the die-cut gate, the right panel unfolds to reveal an “I hope your day is fabulous” greeting surrounded by Painted Patch Designer Series Paper. See how to make this Painted Pumpkins card from Stampin’ Up!®️ in the complete video tutorial.

Colorful “Hey” Pumpkin Card

For the final card, I combined the stamps and decorative masks. I first stamped the pumpkins in Secret Sea, then used the masks and blending brushes to add Petal Pink, Timid Tiger, Calypso Coral, and Cajun Craze ink.

The orange pumpkins really pop against the Pool Party and Secret Sea layers. The Painted Patch Designer Series Paper brings all those colors together while adding plenty of fall pattern to the background.

I kept the greeting short and simple with a bold “Hey” stamped in Secret Sea. A few more Painted Patch Dots repeat the warm colors in the pumpkins and finish the card.
