This week’s fun fold is a great example of how a small change can make a card feel a little more special without making it complicated. It’s clean, simple, and has just enough of a twist to feel different from a standard card.

This front-flap fun fold folds back to show off layered patterned paper in a really satisfying way. There’s no tricky scoring or math involved – just a straightforward structure that works beautifully with patterned paper (hello, February Product of the Month!) and adapts easily for thank you cards, birthdays, and just-because notes.

👉 Be sure to read all the way through to grab the FREE project sheet with measurements and to watch the step-by-step video tutorial.

Thank You Card with the February Product of the Month

This cheerful thank you card is the one I demonstrated during the live, and it’s such a happy place to start. I used the February Product of the Month – Painted Illusions Designer Series Paper, and wow… these watercolor-style rainbow patterns do all the heavy lifting.

To add a playful focal point, I stamped mushrooms from the Terrific Toadstools stamp set in Petal Pink, Darling Duckling, and Pretty Peacock, then punched them out with the coordinating punch. A few Muted Palette Dots finish it off with just the right amount of texture and shine.

This is one of those cards where the patterned paper shines – quick, colorful, and full of personality.

Floral Note Card with A Round of Hello Stamps

This hello card has a completely different feel, thanks to the elegant Lovely & Beautiful Designer Series Paper with those subtle gold accents. I paired it with the A Round of Hellos stamp set – which we’ll be using in the March Online Card Class – and leaned into circles for a clean, balanced layout.

The flower is stamped on Basic White and punched with the 1 7/8" Circle Punch, then layered onto Old Olive punched with the 2" Circle Punch. The hello sentiment is stamped in Old Olive on Fresh Freesia and punched with the 2 3/8" Circle Punch. Simple shapes, beautiful impact.

I love the way that the stamped images fit the circles and how easy it is to layer up the circles with using the punches. So cool!

This one is a great reminder that punches can still steal the show.

Elegant Fun Fold Card to Send a Smile with the Layers of Beauty Stamps

If you love coloring without stress, this card is for you. The Layers of Beauty bundle includes masks that make ink blending almost foolproof – and the results look amazing every time.

I colored the flowers with Berry Burst and Blackberry Bliss, then matched the patterned paper by coloring the leaves with Basic Beige and Mossy Meadow. The Floral Charm Designer Series Paper ties everything together beautifully.

To finish it off, I added Basic Rhinestone Gems for sparkle and a bit of Linen Thread for that soft, shabby-chic texture. This card feels detailed, but the masks make it so approachable.

Fun Fold Floral Birthday Card

This birthday card is elegant, modern, and such a good example of letting color do the work. I used the Lovely Arrangements bundle with the Lovely Blossoms Designer Series Paper for a coordinated look that feels polished without being fussy.

The flowers are stamped in Secret Sea ink, with soft coloring added using a Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend. I colored outside the lines though to make the white flowers pop! I die-cut the leaves from Secret Sea cardstock to tie everything together, then added Moody Palette Dots for a subtle pop of texture.

This design works beautifully for birthdays, anniversaries, or even a thank you with a sentiment swap.

I really like how you can take one easy layout and make 4 really different cards by using different dsp. You have great ideas and explain everything so well. Glad I found you. Laurie
