One More Ink Blended Card Idea Using the New Blending Brushes

1/19/2021

I just couldn't stop ink blending with the new blending brushes from Stampin' Up! They are just too much fun! If you missed it, be sure to check out yesterday's post where I shared lots of samples using ink blended backgrounds as well as a video on how to do ink blending. So, on y go! Let's get stamping.
Card design with an ink blended background using Blending Brushes from Stampin' Up! Also features the new Pretty Perennials stamp set and dies from the 2021 January-June Mini Catalog.

Pretty Perennials Lots of Happy Card Idea

Like yesterday, I used the new Pretty Perennials stamp set and dies from the 2021 January-June Mini Catalog. For today's card, I wanted some warm sunny colors, so I turned to Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, and Poppy Parade. I created the ombre ink blended card front using blending brushes and then spritzed it with water to create the water spots. When it was dry, I added stenciled polka dots in the upper left and lower right corners using poppy parade ink and a blending brush. I added the die-cut black flowers over the stencil with a small rhinestone in the center of each. I stamped the greeting with Poppy Parade and Jet Black Stazon ink.

Cutting Dimensions for this Happy Card Design

Poppy Parade cardstock: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Basic Black cardstock: 5 3/16" x 3 15/16" & scraps
Basic White cardstock: 5" x 3 3/4"

Stampin' Up!'s new Blending Brushes might be the new item from the January-June Mini Catalog that I am most excited about. If you remember, a few months ago, I shared how to do ink blending using make-up brushes. These new blending brushes are so much better! So, I had to make a new video to show you some of the fun things you can do with them. Plus I have lots of sample cards! So, on y go! Let's get stamping.

Sample Cards with the Pretty Perennials Stamp Set and ink Blending

All of my sample cards use the new Pretty Perennials stamp set and coordinating dies. I love the bold flowers and greetings in this stamp set. They are just so happy! And it's a big stamp set and huge set of dies! Plus, some of the smaller dies, like leaves and small flowers, have multiple dies of the same shape so that you can cut multiples in the same pass through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss.

Why I Love being a Demo:
 Free Stamps

I've already talked about 3 reasons I love being a demo: community, pre-orders, and starter kit value. Today, I want to share a 4th reason. While I love the fun images in the Ice Cream Corner suite, I love even more the fact that I got it free! One of the things that I love about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is the opportunity to earn free stamps. There are a number of different ways to do so.
1. As a hostess or customer: You probably already know that when you host a party you can earn free Stampin' Up! product. As a demonstrator, I can still take advantage of this awesome reward! When I submit orders over $150, either a group of smaller customer orders or my own order, I can get the host benefits for that "party!" Likewise, when there are customer promotions, like Sale-A-Bration, I can also earn those rewards. This isn't true for every direct sales company, so it's definitely something I love.
2. Attending events: Many Stampin' Up! events also include goodies - like free stamps!
3. Prizes: Occasionally, there are company-wide challenges or special incentives within my team where I might win free stamps.
4. Product credits: During Sale-A-Bration, demonstrators can earn product credits. Also, when you reach the 2nd level in Stampin' Up!, you begin earning 2% of your quarterly sales as an additional product credit. How awesome is that?!?

If you would like to start earning free stamps as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I would love to talk to you more about it! Just leave a comment and send me an email and we'll chat.

Striking Card Idea with Flower & Field Patterned Paper

If you've stopped by my blog or my Facebook group in recent weeks, you probably already know that Flower & Field is my favorite Sale-A-Bration item! I absolutely love how dramatic this paper is. Like the Paper Blooms patterned paper, it is a Level 1 reward and FREE with a $50 purchase.

I've also used the You Are Amazing stamp set on this card. I love the bold greetings in this set! I've mounted the patterned paper on Basic Black and Granny Apple Green cardstock and added 3 Matte Black Dots. They are a bit hard to see, but these dots are a fabulous little something for cards. They are going to be fantastic for masculine cards where you don't want flash, but you need a little dot of something to make the card look right.

Berry Delightful and Sweet Strawberry Card Design

My last card uses the new Berry Delightful patterned paper which comes with the Berry Blessings stamp set as a Level 2 Sale-A-Bration reward. This means you can get it FREE with a $100 purchase.

I completed the card with Granny Apple Green and Garden Green cardstock, some red rhinestones, and a sentiment from the Sweet Strawberry stamp set. This set of stamps is in the 2021 January-June Mini catalog and coordinates with the Berry Delightful patterned paper.

Hello there Berry Blessings

My last card uses the blackberry/raspberry stamps from the Berry Blessings stamp set and the sentiment from the Sweet Strawberry set. I stamped the vine from the Sweet Strawberry set with Blackberry Bliss ink on Rich Razzleberry cardstock. Then, I embossed the Rich Razzleberry cardstock with the Subtle 3D embossing folder. I cut the frame from the sentiment using the Stitched So Sweetly dies and tied it with the new striped Blackberry Bliss ribbon. I love this ribbon because it is so easy to tie and holds its shape beautifully in bows!
