There was a giant field at the camp I went to as a kid. Sports were always happening out there—soccer, capture the flag, maybe the occasional water balloon ambush—but I was never much for running around.

Instead, I’d hang back with a few other like-minded campers. We’d sit in the grass, talking and laughing, and pluck those teeny tiny wildflower daisies to braid into flower crowns. It was peaceful and playful—just like tonight’s Camp Wow! project.

For Night 4 of Camp Wow!, we’re wrapping things up with a floral explosion—literally! This 3D box card folds flat for mailing and pops open into a bouquet of bright die-cut flowers. It’s a card that wows from the moment it’s opened.

Make a handmade card that looks simple when folded--but opens up into a blooming surprise! This 3D box card lays flat for mailing and fits in a standard envelope. Perfect for birthdays, thank yous, or any celebration. Visit my blog for the full video tutorial and PDF instructions!

Handmade 3D Box Card with Die-Cut Flowers

Tonight’s project is a 3D box card that fits in a standard envelope and opens into a mini field of flowers. I used the Impressions Abloom stamp set and coordinating dies from Stampin’ Up!®, paired with the Turtle-y Cute Designer Series Paper for a bright, cheerful look.

The card base is Garden Green, and I die-cut the flowers from Strawberry Slush, Basic White, and Darling Duckling cardstock. I added a bit of ink blending to the centers for depth and layered everything with dimensionals for added pop.

This card is perfect for birthdays, thank yous, weddings, or any moment worth celebrating with flowers.
