Looking for card sketch ideas to jumpstart your creativity? This simple card template is perfect for handmade cards, cardmaking, paper crafting, and rubber stamping. The Card Template

Here’s the card sketch I used for today’s projects. You’ll see how easy it is to adapt this layout for different occasions just by swapping stamps, patterned paper, and colors.

Measurements:
Cardstock: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Coordinating Cardstock: 3 3/8" x 4 1/2"
Patterned Paper: (3) 1" x 4 1/4"
White or Vanilla cardstock: 2"-3" circle

Birthday Card with Christmas Greenery

This birthday card shows how you can take a stamp set labeled “Christmas” and make it work for year-round occasions. I used the Christmas Greenery stamp set along with the Simply Said sentiments and paired them with the Traditions of Christmas Designer Series Paper.

Because Christmas Greenery is a two-step set, I was able to stamp the flower outlines and quickly fill them in with coordinating stamps. It’s a fast way to add bold color without picking up my markers. A strip of Secret Sea ribbon finishes it off for a clean, classic look.

Looking for Christmas card ideas? This handmade elf card uses the Festive Friends stamp set and North Pole Delivery paper from Stampin' Up! Colored with Stampin’ Blends, it’s a fun holiday cardmaking project that will wow family and friends. See the tutorial and get the free sketch.

Elf Christmas Card with Festive Friends

For this card, I stamped one of the adorable elves from the Festive Friends set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored him with Stampin’ Blends. I love how bright and playful he looks layered over the North Pole Delivery Designer Series Paper.

A little Linen Thread wrapped around the panel adds texture without distracting from the cheerful scene. This card is sure to bring a smile to anyone who opens it!

Jar of Cookies Christmas Card with Jar of Joy

Who wouldn’t love a jar full of Christmas cookies? The Jar of Joy stamp set is so much fun because you can fill the jar with all sorts of seasonal goodies. I stamped the cookies in Crumb Cake and Early Espresso, then added pops of red with a Real Red Stampin’ Blend.

The jar itself is cut with the Sweet Jar Builder Punch, which makes it super easy to create a focal point. Paired with the North Pole Delivery DSP, this card has a cozy, homemade feel — perfect for Christmas.
