Easy Fun Fold Card - Locked Gate Fold Card

I have a fun - and easy - fancy fold card for you today. It's a locking gate fold card! Plus, I've got a couple other cards using the fabulous Happiest Day stamp set from Stampin' Up!®️

Locking Gate Fold Card Design

Here's a view of the locking gate fold card open. The center circle slides off to open the card. But, when the circle is on, the card is locked. 

The locking mechanism is created by folding punched circles of cardstock. and adhering them to the front circle. Really, it's a lot easier to explain the video than in words!

Beautiful Rainbow Card

I love the gorgeous colors in the Full of Life patterned paper! This rainbow is so beautiful and creates a great background for this sweet dragonfly and lovely sentiment.

I used the Nested Essentials dies to cut out the banners for the sentiment. The Lemon Lime Twist piece is actually smaller than the Basic White piece. To make it longer, I cut it in half. I put the top half above the white banner and the bottom half below. This makes it look like it is a longer banner. 

Tranquil Dragonfly Card

While I love the rainbow colors in the two cards above, I wanted to create a more tranquil setting for these adorable dragonflies. I used a piece of the patterned paper that is a blue watercolor. Then, I layered it on black and Coastal Cabana.

The plant on this card was cut with the Thoughtful Wishes dies. I started by putting adhesive sheet on the back of Basic Black cardstock. Then, I die-cut the silhouette of the plant. The adhesive sheet makes it a die-cut sticker. So easy to adhere to your card!
