Use a little torn patterned paper and a simple card sketch to create quick and easy handmade cards.

I LOVE patterned paper and I LOVE quick and easy handmade cards! And this card design combines both. Just a little layering and a sentiment and you have a beautiful handmade card for any occasion like birthdays, thinking of you, thank you, and more!

I based this card on a sketch from the 2024-2025 Stampin' Up!®️ Annual Catalog on page 22. You'll also find the sketch below! I used this card for this month's Mystery Stamping event. If you've never done Mystery Stamping, make sure to check out the replay below and join us next month!

Simple Card Sketch

Here's the card sketch that I based these cards on. I love that Stampin' Up! included a number of simple card sketches in this year's annual catalog. Card sketches make it so easy to make handmade cards!

I added a few additional layers to the template from the catalog. Because, you know I'm a layer queen! So, instead of letting the pieces of torn patterned paper run all the way across the card front, I added them to a layer with another layer underneath.

Use a card sketch to create an easy thank you card with the Seaside Wishes stamp set and the Country Lace patterned paper from Stampin' Up!®️

Seaside Wishes Thank You Card

For this simple thank you card, I used the Seaside Wishes stamp set with the Country Lace patterned paper. I love the soft look of the Basic Beige and Petal Pink mixed together.

For this card, I pulled out my Flat Adhesive-Backed Pearls to add as a little bling. I love their iridescent shimmer!

Handmade Thinking of You Card with Bright Colors

I created this thinking of you card with the Comforting Thoughts stamp set. I totally overlooked this stamp set in the catalog! But, the other day I needed a thinking of you card for an impossible situation. This stamp set has so many awesome greetings! While I don't love sending these cards, I'm excited to make some more cards with sentiments that really seem to fit.

Easy Handmade Birthday Card

Here's an easy handmade birthday card using this same basic layout. For this card, I used the Everyday Greetings stamp set and the Greetings of the Season dies. I love this stamp set with the mixed fonts and easy to mix sentiments.

I used the 6" x 6" patterned paper from the Bright collection for this card and the last card. This card, I did with Berry Burst, Melon Mambo, and Pumpkin Pie.
