Video Card-Making Tutorial

In this technique, I colored directly onto a clear block using Stampin’ Write Markers, spritzed it with water using a Stampin’ Spritzer, and then pressed the clear block onto Basic White cardstock. The water causes the colors to blend beautifully, creating a unique and organic watercolor effect. After the background dried, I stamped my image over it using Jet Black Stazon ink for a crisp, permanent impression.

Check out the Video Tutorial to see exactly how it's done and pick up some tips!

For the first card, I used the Thankful Garden stamp set, which will be available next week as part of the Online Exclusives release. To create the background, I colored a clear block with Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Soft Sea Foam, and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Write Markers, spritzed it with water, and pressed it onto Basic White cardstock. Once dry, I stamped the hydrangea image in Jet Black Stazon and tore the bottom edge for texture.

To complete the design, I layered the stamped panel over a coordinating piece of Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper, adding a soft and artistic touch to the card. Layered the stamped panel onto a coordinating piece of Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper.

For my second card, I used the Grow with Love stamp set, paired with Storybook Moments and Timeless Plaid patterned papers. To create the background, I colored a clear block with Wild Wheat, Old Olive, and Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Write Markers, spritzed it with water, and pressed it onto Basic White cardstock for a soft watercolor effect. Over this, I stamped the frame and plant in Jet Black Stazon.

To enhance the distressed look, I brushed a Lost Lagoon and Wild Wheat ink pads along the edges of the patterned papers, adding depth and texture to the card.
