Find New Color Combinations Using the Color Coach

During this week's Thursday Night YouTube Live, I shared some ways to use the color coach to explore different color combinations. I also shared cards using the Labeled with Love stamp set and a fun color combination.

Here's a handmade card featuring the Labeled with Love stamp set from Stampin' Up!®️! I love how the soft but bold combo of Pumpkin Pie, Petal Pink, and Soft Sea Foam gives this design a fresh and elegant look.

Delicate and Bold Color Combo

I wanted to try a triadic color combination for these cards which is three colors that are equally spaced on the color wheel. But I ended up doing more of a split complimentary color scheme because I chose to essentially use two analogous colors (Pumpkin Pie and Petal Pink) and Soft Seam Foam which is next to the complementary color.

Switch the Ratios for A Softer Look

The prominence of the Pumpkin Pie in the card above gives it a bold look. But, if you swap the ratio of pink to orange, you can create a much softer look with a bold little pop.

For the second card with this color combo, I used primarily Petal Pink with a splash of Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive.

Another Bold Color Scheme

Here's another bold color scheme of Highland Heather, Night of Navy, and Pumpkin Pie. Again, I used two analogous colors and one of the other triadic colors. This card is primarily monochromatic, but I added a pop of orange that really pops!

A Softer Look with this Color Combo

This is nearly the same color combination, but I replaced the Pumpkin Pie with Petal Pink. Since the pink is a softer color, the whole card has a softer look than the one above.

I used the Labeled with Love punch to punch the three tags on the front of this card. Then, I added stamped butterflies that I fussy cut.
