If you love stamp sets that stretch far beyond one season, this month’s Online Card Class is going to be right up your alley. The Sweet Jar stamp set is one of those sneaky-good sets that looks simple at first glance… and then totally surprises you once you start playing.

In January’s Online Card Class, I’m sharing three handmade cards that show just how versatile this set really is – a Valentine’s Day card, a fun fold birthday card, and a St. Patrick’s Day card. Same stamp set. Totally different holidays. That’s my favorite kind of crafty win.

If you missed the live class or want to recreate these projects on your own schedule, keep reading. I’ll walk you through each card and share how you can grab the full tutorial bundle featuring Sweet Jar and Jar of Joy.

January 2026 Online Card Class Replay

In this class, I demonstrate all three projects step by step, share tips for stamping inside the jar, and talk through ways you can adapt these ideas for other holidays and occasions.
Complete Supply List for these Cards
Valentine’s Day handmade card using the Sweet Jar stamp set from Stampin’ Up!®. This card features a jar filled with hearts in Real Red and Flirty Flamingo, with stamped hearts floating out of the open jar. A simple but bold rubber stamping design perfect for card making and Valentine’s Day cards.

Sweet Jar Valentine’s Day Card

This Valentine’s Day card is cheerful, bold, and just plain happy. I used Real Red and Flirty Flamingo to give it that classic Valentine vibe without making it feel fussy or overdone.

The jar image was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, then filled with a Flirty Flamingo background and layered hearts in Real Red. Using the coordinating punch makes this card come together quickly – the jar and lid were punched and popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals for instant dimension.

One of my favorite details on this card is leaving the jar open and stamping hearts floating out of the top. It adds movement and makes the card feel playful instead of flat. This design would work just as well for anniversaries, love notes, or even a “thinking of you” card with a quick sentiment swap.

Fun Fold Birthday Card with a Hidden Surprise

This birthday card is all about the fun fold – and it’s a good one.

Instead of using the jar image, I stamped a row of candles in Flirty Flamingo, Gorgeous Grape, and Granny Apple Green for a bright, festive look. The candles line up across the front panel, with the sentiment stamped underneath for a clean, modern finish.

What's really cool about this stamp set is that there is a set of three candles and a single candle. The set of three candles has a space between two of the candles where you can easily stamp the single candle. This makes it easy to get different colors without stamping each candle individually.

The real magic happens when you pull the tab at the bottom of the card. The front panel lifts open to reveal a gift card that pops up inside. It’s one of those folds that looks impressive but is actually very doable once you see it come together.

This style of card is perfect when you want to give a gift card but still keep the focus on something handmade. It’s fun, interactive, and guaranteed to get a reaction when the recipient opens it.

St. Patrick’s Day handmade card featuring a jar filled with four-leaf clovers using the Sweet Jar stamp set from Stampin’ Up!®. This card uses shades of green with layered textures, showing how to adapt the Sweet Jar stamp set for holiday card making.

St. Patrick’s Day Sweet Jar Card

This card might be my favorite example of why the Sweet Jar stamp set is such a keeper.

For the background, I stamped four-leaf clovers in Shaded Spruce ink directly onto Shaded Spruce cardstock. It creates subtle texture without overwhelming the design. On top of that, I added a layer of Shy Shamrock cardstock embossed with the Lovely Stripes 3D embossing folder for a little extra interest.

I also tucked in a narrow strip of patterned paper – and yes, I had to dig to find that sliver of white with green spots that worked. Totally worth it.

The jar is filled with four-leaf clovers stamped in Shy Shamrock and Shaded Spruce, then punched and layered on the front. This card is a great reminder that once you start thinking of the jar as a container, the possibilities really open up. Hearts, candles, clovers – and that’s just the beginning.
