Sometimes the best creative breakthroughs happen when you tilt things just a little off-center. That’s exactly what we’re doing in this week’s Stamp with Me Tuesday! I’m showing you how to make an asymmetrical angled gate fold card—a fabulous fun fold where two angled flaps of patterned paper open to reveal a hidden message inside. This fold is quick, easy, and oh-so-satisfying to make.

The magic of this card is how the front opens unevenly—the left flap is cut lower than the right, giving it a dynamic, off-kilter look that still feels balanced. And because the top portion of the inside peeks out from behind the gate, it’s the perfect place to stamp something eye-catching. Keep reading to watch the video tutorial and see the full cardmaking process, plus two beautiful samples featuring Stampin’ Up!® products.

Bright and cheerful, this fun fold “Sending Good Vibes” card features the Sunshine Vibes stamp set and Boho Vibes DSP from Stampin’ Up!®. Learn how to make an angled gate fold card with a peeking sun image inside!
See how this asymmetrical angled gate fold opens to reveal a surprise stamped sun and “hello” message inside! A vibrant handmade card using Stampin’ Up!® Boho Vibes paper and Sunshine Vibes stamps.

Bright & Boho: Sunshine Vibes Thinking of You Card

This first card uses the Sunshine Vibes stamp set and the coordinating Boho Vibes Designer Series Paper to send a burst of good vibes. The front is stamped with “Sending Good Vibes” and when you open the flaps, it reveals a cheerful “hello” inside. I stamped a bright sun image on the top portion of the inside so it peeks through when the card is closed—perfectly tying the front and inside together.

For the patterned paper, I used a soft Cloud Cover and Secret Sea polka dot design on the left (front) flap and a bold multi-colored stripe on the right. The colors and angles give this handmade card a sense of movement and energy that fits the sentiment beautifully.

Elegant Florals: Charming Day Thank You Card

This second card gives you a sneak peek of the upcoming Charming Day stamp set and Floral Charm Designer Series Paper—and let me tell you, it’s a stunner. This suite will be available in July as an Online Exclusive. The front says “Thank You” and opens to reveal a spray of roses in Petal Pink with Pretty Peacock leaves.

Now normally, I think of Pretty Peacock as more of a deep blue. But because it’s in the patterned paper and we expect leaves to be green, it magically reads that way—even though it’s not. I stamped the flowers in Early Espresso for a soft contrast, and colored them with Petal Pink and Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends. It’s an elegant twist on a floral card that feels fresh and a little unexpected.
This thank you card combines elegant floral stamping with a twist! Featuring the new Charming Day stamp set and Floral Charm DSP, this angled gate fold card is the perfect balance of soft color and style.
