Winter Snowman Card – Festive Friends Stamp Set

Sometimes the simplest cards are the sweetest - like this one featuring the adorable snowman from the Festive Friends stamp set. I didn’t even add a sentiment because this little guy says it all!

I used the pointillism technique to add Pool Party dots around the outside of the snowman, making the white really pop. His scarf and hat are also dotted with Pretty in Pink and Pool Party Stampin’ Blends, with a little Pumpkin Pie for his carrot nose. For the background, I stamped snowflakes in white ink on Pool Party cardstock and added a strip of Pretty in Pink embossed with the Forever Plaid embossing folder for cozy texture.

This card is perfect for winter birthdays, thank yous, or just sending a smile.

Hello Autumn Card – Choose Happy Stamp Set

For my second card, I went with warm fall vibes using the Choose Happy stamp set and the Stripes & Dots background stamp. I stamped three little pumpkins in Early Espresso ink and then colored them with Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends using pointillism to create a soft, blended look.

The sentiment “Hello Autumn” is punched out with the Three Banner Punch, and I stamped a dotted background on vellum with Pumpkin Pie ink to echo the dot texture from the pumpkins. A quick coat of clear embossing powder adds glossy dimension and helps that dotted pattern stand out.

It’s a modern twist on classic fall colors - clean, simple, and full of texture!

Paper Hug Card – Paper Tags Stamp Set

Sometimes you just need to send a little love - and this card is the perfect “paper hug.” I paired the Paper Tags stamp set with the new Brushed with Beauty Designer Series Paper, which will be available as an Online Exclusive in November.

I stamped the frame in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla cardstock, then used Calypso Coral and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends and the pointillism technique around the edges of the frame to help the center pop. The sentiment, “Consider this a Paper Hug,” is stamped in Calypso Coral, creating a warm, friendly feel that’s perfect for everyday happy mail.

Quick, Easy, Wow - and So Relaxing!

I love this technique because it looks complicated, but it’s actually so forgiving. Every dot you make adds depth, dimension, and character - and no two cards ever turn out the same. Whether you’re coloring a snowman, a pumpkin, or a decorative frame, pointillism turns ordinary stamping into miniature works of art.
