Quick & Easy Diagonal Cut Fold Card - Stamp With Me Tuesday

Want to add a little wow to your cardmaking—without adding a lot of time? This week’s Stamp With Me Tuesday YouTube Live is all about a quick and easy fun fold card with an angled front—and a surprise flap that opens over it. It’s a great layout to use with patterned paper and just a couple of cardstock layers from your stash.

Boho Vibes Thank You Card

For this version, I used the brand-new Boho Vibes bundle. The patterned paper has soft, muted rainbows that give the card a calm and cozy feel. I stamped the sun and sentiment from the Sunshine Vibes stamp set in Daffodil Delight and Cajun Craze to match the cardstock layers and bring out those warm tones in the paper. This combo is perfect for a sunny thank you card that feels like a hug in an envelope.

Fun Fold Card Base Measurements

• Cardstock base: 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2"
• Small card: 3 1/4" x 6 1/2", scored at 3 1/4"
• Patterned Paper: 5 1/4" x 4"
• Coordinating Cardstock: 2 5/8" x 2 5/8"
• White or Vanilla Cardstock (sentiment): 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"
• White or Vanilla Cardstock (inside panel): 3" x 3"

​Cut the front of your card base at an angle, then attach the small folded card inside the base so it folds out over the angled flap. This adds a surprise interactive element without complicated measuring or die-cutting!

"I Adore You" with Feathered Fun

This sweet card uses the Feathered Fun and More Messages stamp sets with the Florals in Bloom patterned paper. The birds are reversible, so you can stamp the details with one and use the back of the other for a solid fill. I stamped the base in Pool Party, then added some color with Granny Apple Green and Summer Splash Stampin’ Blends. I finished it off with the sentiment “I adore you” from More Messages.

Thank You Card with Impressions Abloom

This version uses the Impressions Abloom stamp set and Floral Impressions patterned paper. I stamped the floral images in Fresh Freesia and Pool Party to match the soft colors in the paper. The sentiment is stamped in Secret Sea—a rich, dark blue that ties in perfectly with the deeper accents in the pattern.
