If you love playful cards with personality, today’s projects are going to make you smile. For Day 1 of my 2026 January–April Mini Catalog Launch Party, I’m sharing roller coaster–inspired handmade cards using the Boardwalk Fun stamp set and dies with the Beach Boardwalk Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!®.

This entire Beach Boardwalk suite has such a nostalgic amusement-park vibe – Ferris wheels, tickets, roller coasters, palm trees, and even puffy stickers that add instant dimension. I used the same products across five different cards so you can see how versatile this suite really is.

Watch the Video – Boardwalk Fun Cards

In this video, I walk you through Card 1 step-by-step, then share close-ups and design tips for the remaining cards using the same products.

Celebrate the Ride

This card was created live during the YouTube video and really sets the tone for the whole suite. I die-cut the Ferris wheel from Basic Black cardstock, then cut the carts from the Beach Boardwalk DSP so they perfectly matched the soft, slightly faded colors in the paper.

To add movement and texture, I stamped the word “Celebrate” repeatedly in Petunia Pop ink on a Bubble Bath–colored patterned paper. The ticket comes from one of the die-cuttable ticket sheets in the paper pack and is stamped with “Enjoy the Ride.” A little Bubble Bath ribbon finishes it off without competing with the busy background.

Roller Coaster Birthday Card

This birthday card leans fully into the roller coaster theme. I stamped the coaster in Memento Tuxedo Black ink directly onto one of the cloud-patterned DSP pieces – it already looks like a sky, so the work is halfway done for you.

The coaster cars are die-cut from Petunia Pop cardstock for a fun pop of color. The sentiment comes from the same ticket sheet in the DSP – there are extra tags on that sheet that don’t have coordinating dies, but they’re super easy to fussy cut. I added Pretty in Pink & Strawberry Slush gems for just enough sparkle.

Hey, Sunshine Palm Tree Card

This card has a totally different feel while still using the same products. I layered the Lemon Lolly and Daffodil Delight sun-print DSP onto Basic Black cardstock for strong contrast.

The “Hey, Sunshine” sentiment is stamped and heat embossed with black embossing powder directly onto the patterned paper – a bold choice that really works here. The palm trees are die-cut from Basic Black cardstock and tucked underneath the sentiment panel, which is layered onto another cloud-patterned DSP piece. Clear gems from the Pretty in Pink & Strawberry Slush gem pack add a subtle shine.

Ticket Notecard with Puffy Stickers

This notecard is quick, playful, and perfect when you want something fun without a lot of layers. I die-cut four tickets from the DSP in green, yellow, blue, and red, then layered them onto Crumb Cake cardstock embossed with the Pretty Pattern Embossing Folder.

On the blue ticket, I stamped “Hey” three times, leaving the word sunshine un-inked so it simply reads hey, hey, hey. The other tickets feature the puffy stickers – cotton candy, balloons, and stars – which add instant texture with zero effort.

Quick & Easy Celebrate Card

This is the ultimate quick, easy, wow card. I started with one of my favorite DSP pieces – the sunset background with black palm trees. That single sheet has eight different palm clusters, making it perfect for cutting apart and using as focal points.

I added a pink ticket stamped with “Celebrate” in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then finished the card with Bubble Bath ribbon and Pretty in Pink & Strawberry Slush gems. Layering it onto Basic Black and Petunia Pop cardstock pulls everything together fast.
