Card Sketch

Here's the basic card sketch that I used for these quick and easy cards.

Measurements:
Cardstock: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Coordinating Cardstock: (2) 3 7/8" x 1 5/8"
Patterned Paper: (2) 3 3/4" x 1 1/2"
Medium - large stamp image that can be cut out

Bright & Bold Birthday Wishes

This black-and-white birthday card really lets the florals pop! I used the Mixed Florals bundle for the large die-cut image and colored it with Stampin' Blends in Daffodil Delight, Highland Heather, and Granny Apple Green. The striped paper from the Mixed Media Designer Series Paper pack adds a crisp background, layered on black cardstock and a white card base. The sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set balances out the florals beautifully.

Turn a basic card sketch sideways for a totally new look! A Scenic Thank You

You can easily rotate this sketch to fit your design—like I did with this horizontal thank you card! I used the Weekend Adventures Designer Series Paper layered on Mossy Meadow, then mounted it all on a white base. The focal point is a mini mountain scene, complete with die-cut trees, grass, and a snowy peak made with the Scenic Adventure dies. I added a few of the Hues of Blue Flowers embellishments (coming in September!) and finished it with a sentiment from the You Are Remarkable stamp set.

Masculine Best Wishes

This version has a breezy, outdoorsy vibe—great for a masculine card! I used the Sunrise Sailing stamp set with the Turtle-y Cute DSP. The patterned panels are layered on Pretty Peacock and a Pool Party card base. For the sailboats, I used a paper piecing technique: stamped the image on white, then again on Granny Apple Green and Pool Party cardstock. I cut out the sails and adhered them over the white base—so the sails look fully colored without coloring! A fun technique that adds a custom look with minimal effort.
Need a masculine card idea that still packs a punch? This handmade “Best Wishes” card uses paper piecing with the Sunrise Sailing stamp set and Turtle-y Cute DSP. A clean and modern layout that’s easy to recreate! Grab the free project sheet and watch the video tutorial at On Y Go! Stamping. Great for birthdays, congratulations, or retirement cards.

Layered florals and soft pastels make this “missing you” card so sweet and dimensional. Featuring the Charming Day bundle and Floral Charm DSP, this card uses a simple layout that works for any occasion. Soft & Dimensional “Missing You”

This sweet floral card uses the Charming Day bundle and Floral Charm DSP. The soft colors—Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow—are perfect for a “missing you” message. I layered up stamped and die-cut florals with greenery to create lots of dimension. The finishing touch? A Petal Pink Woven Trim bow, deconstructed and tied for extra texture. It tucks perfectly beneath the flowers without overwhelming them.
