Looking for fresh summer card making ideas? This month's Online Card Class features the cheerful Splash & Relax Bundle from Stampin' Up!®. Together we'll create three bright handmade cards that showcase just how versatile this bundle can be - including an interactive fun fold card that's also a gift card holder.

Whether you're sending a thank you, birthday wishes, or simply a little sunshine through the mail, these projects are easy to customize and fun to make.

This cheerful summer card combines the Splash & Relax Bundle with Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Series Paper to create a clean and colorful handmade card perfect for sending a little sunshine. Click to see how it's made.

Bright Summer Squares Card with the Splash & Relax Bundle

The first card is a cheerful celebration of summer! I used the Splash & Relax Bundle along with the Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Series Paper to create a clean, colorful design featuring four little snapshots of summertime fun.

Using the Stylish Shapes Dies, I cut four stitched squares and filled them with some of my favorite images from the stamp set - a beach ball, sunscreen, sunglasses, and flip-flops. The soft Pool Party polka dot paper creates the perfect backdrop while keeping the focus on the stamped images. It's a simple layout that's easy to customize with your favorite images and sentiments.

Interactive Fun Fold Gift Card Holder

If you love interactive cards, this project is sure to become a favorite!

This thank you card doubles as a clever gift card holder, making it perfect for birthdays, graduations, teacher gifts, or simply treating someone to a little something special. The bright rainbow pattern from the Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Series Paper adds a fun summer feel, while the layered focal point - created with the Scalloped Blooms Dies and a circle punch - features a refreshing drink and a pair of sunglasses.

The magic happens when the card is opened. As you lift the front flap, the inside insert slides upward to reveal the "Relax and Enjoy" sentiment while also pulling out the hidden gift card pocket. It's a fun surprise that makes this card just as enjoyable to open as it is to create!

Easy Stamped Background Card Using One Image

The final project proves that sometimes simple really is best.

For this card, I skipped the dies altogether and created a custom background by repeatedly stamping the inflatable swim ring image across a piece of Basic White cardstock. I used Flirty Flamingo, Petal Pink, Pool Party, Lost Lagoon, Daffodil Delight, and Lemon Lolly to create a bright, colorful pattern that instantly says summer.

The bold Secret Sea "Hello Sunshine" sentiment stands out beautifully against the colorful background, and a few Array of Dots embellishments finish the design perfectly. This card is a great reminder that you don't need lots of layers or fancy techniques to create something that's fun, colorful, and full of personality.
