Spring cards don’t have to be complicated to be beautiful - and the Sunshine & Tulips bundle proves it. During my Sunshine & Tulips Catalog Launch Party, I shared five handmade cards using the same stamp set, dies, and patterned paper, each with a little different look and feel.

From clean and simple thank you cards to layered designs that show off color and texture, these cards are all about easy wins and feel-good creativity. If you love tulips, bright spring colors, and projects that look impressive without being fussy, you’re going to love this set.

Below you’ll find the full video tutorial plus close-ups of all five Sunshine & Tulips cards.

Sunshine & Tulips Card Ideas Video Tutorial

This card was made live during my Catalog Launch Party, and then I shared four more finished card ideas using the same products. Watch the video below to see the stamping, layering, and die-cutting in action - plus tips for stretching one stamp set into lots of different looks.
Supply List for the Sunshine & Tulips Cards
Handmade spring card using the Sunshine & Tulips stamp set from Stampin’ Up!® featuring pink and orange tulips, gold foiled patterned paper, and the sentiment “good days ahead.

Good Days Ahead Tulip Card

This is the card I made live, and it’s such a happy, optimistic way to kick off spring crafting. I used the Sunshine & Tulips stamp set and dies along with the Splash of Sparkles Designer Series Paper, which has bright colors and gorgeous gold and holographic foiling.

Each tulip is a two-step stamp, which makes it easy to add dimension without any coloring. I stamped two tulips in Peach Pie and Timid Tiger, and two more in Bubble Bath and Pretty in Pink, with Granny Apple Green leaves. The sentiment, “good days ahead,” is stamped in Timid Tiger.

I finished the card with Pearlized Faceted Circles. They technically belong to a different suite, but they work beautifully here - don’t be afraid to mix and match embellishments across products.

Clean & Simple Thank You Card

If you love clean and simple cards, this one is for you. Everything here is white on white, with just a pop of color and texture.

I stamped a single tulip in Strawberry Slush and Pretty in Pink, with Granny Apple Green leaves. The sentiment “Thanks for your thoughtfulness” is stamped in Strawberry Slush.

To keep the card from feeling flat, I embossed the background panel with the Lovely Stripes Embossing Folder. Even though it’s all white, that subtle texture adds just enough interest while keeping the design calm and elegant.

Sending a Garden of Love Tulip Grid Card

This card really shows off one of the standout dies in the Sunshine & Tulips bundle - a large rectangle die that cuts out 12 tulip shapes at once. The flowers are fully cut out, while the leaves stay attached so you can gently lift them for dimension.

I die cut the tulip grid from Timid Tiger cardstock and layered it over a striped piece of Splash of Sparkles Designer Series Paper. Because the stripes run horizontally, the tulips take on an ombre look, with different colors in each row.

I added green leaves using the coordinating leaf dies, tied Bubble Bath ribbon around the card front, and stamped the sentiment “Sending a Garden of Love” on a die-cut white label. Everything is layered on Peach Pie for a warm, springy finish.

Stamped-Over Stripes Thank You Card

This card uses the same striped Splash of Sparkles Designer Series Paper from Card 2, but in a totally different way. Instead of letting the paper do all the work, I stamped tone-on-tone rows of tulips directly over the stripes.

Each row of tulips matches the stripe color - Lemon Lolly, Timid Tiger, and Pretty in Pink - and the sentiment is stamped on the Daffodil Delight stripe.

For the frame, I used the large tulip rectangle die again, cutting it from Pretty in Pink cardstock. I covered the tulip cutouts completely with the patterned paper, leaving just the stitched edge visible for a clean, polished look. The patterned paper panel measures 3 1/2" x approximately 4 13/16" to fit perfectly inside the die-cut frame. Everything is layered onto a Timid Tiger card base.

Friendship card using the Sunshine & Tulips bundle from Stampin’ Up!® featuring layered watercolor-style shapes, embossed sentiment, and a die-cut tulip.

If Friends Were Flowers Card

This last card is simple, cheerful, and perfect for quick card-making sessions. One of the Splash of Sparkles papers features small groupings of overlapping, watercolor-style rectangles. I used a grouping with Daffodil Delight, Timid Tiger, and Pretty in Pink, with Timid Tiger in front.

I heat-embossed the sentiment “If friends were flowers, I’d pick you” on the Timid Tiger rectangle, then added a die-cut tulip in Pretty in Pink, Strawberry Slush, and Granny Apple Green tucked underneath.

The panel is layered onto Pretty in Pink cardstock that’s been stamped all over with the row-of-tulips image, then finished with a Bubble Bath ribbon and mounted on a Strawberry Slush card base. Clean, easy, and full of spring vibes.
