Use a Card Template to Create an Easy Handmade Card with Patterned Paper

I love a good card template because they make it so easy to create handmade cards quickly. Especially when you pair them with patterned paper! Have you seen the card sketches on page 22 of the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog from Stampin' Up!®️ I used one of them as the basis for these cards.

Card Sketch for a Quick Card

Here's the basic card sketch for this handmade card. I'll be sending out the free downloadable project sheet for this sketch in my Wednesday email, but here are the dimensions for you:

• Cardstock: 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2"
  
• Cardstock: 3 5/16" x 4 5/8"
  
• Cardstock: 3 1/2" x 3/4"
  
• White or vanilla cardstock: 3 1/2" x 3/4"
  
• Patterned Paper A: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
  
• Patterned Paper B: 3 1/4" x 4 1/2"
  
• Long skinny sentiment stamp

Beautiful Patterned Paper to Wish You Well

This beautiful handmade card uses the Thoughtful Wishes patterned paper from Stampin' Up! with the Everyday Details stamp set for the sentiment. This paper is so gorgeous and this card is perfect for pieces of patterned paper like this one that has a scene on it.

Handmade New Baby Card

Here's an idea for a handmade card to welcome a new baby! I love this card design for showing off the adorable Lily Pond Lane Designer Series Paper. I love the sweet images of ducks and baby ducks on this patterned paper!

​I used the sentiments from the Sentimental Park stamp set to create the sentiment for the card. So easy!

Handmade Thinking of You Card

I love the sweet blue rainbows on this handmade card. Instead of using patterned paper for the rainbow design piece, I stamped the rainbows in Coastal Cabana, Balmy Blue, and Pretty Peacock with the Happiest Day stamp set. 

I did use patterned paper on the back though! This is the Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper. It was a Sale-A-Bration item a few years ago and now it's available on the Clearance Rack. It's absolutely one of my favorite packs ever!
