A Beautiful World of Cards

I love the new World of Good suite. The paper is absolutely scrumptious with beautiful brass accents on Cinnamon Cider, Misty Moonlight, and Basic Black. The stamp set and dies feature a pair of globes, a quill, and an ink pot. Best of all are the wonderful greetings that come with the stamp set. AND it has a matching Memories & More Card Pack. This set would be awesome for scrapbooking world travels. That will have to wait for another day though, because today, I have three beautiful cards for you. So, on y go! Let's get stamping.

You Make the World a Better Place
The first card is quick and easy to make. It highlights the beauty of the World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper. I stamped the greeting in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and cut it out along with the mat using the Stitched So Sweetly dies. A little mounting and a little bit of Linen Thread, and voilà!

Adventure Awaits:
My second card is easier than it perhaps looks. Using a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, I stamped the globes in Early Espresso and Crumb Cake. The compass was stamped with Mossy Meadow ink, while the quill, ink pot, and greeting were stamped with Early Espresso ink.

After I had stamped, I used the embossing die that is in the World Map dies set in various places on the card front. This is very subtle and hard to see, but you can feel it on the card.

When I finished the stamping and embossing, I used sponge daubers to rub on Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow, and Crushed Curry ink.

I tied the card front with the new Faux Suede ribbon that is part of the suite. This ribbon has an amazing suede feel to it. It's a little hard to see, but there is also a strip of the World of Good DSP under the ribbon. I stamped the greeting one more time on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and punched it with the Tailored Tag punch. I added a border on the top and bottom by punching another tag from Mossy Meadow cardstock. I cut it in half and adhered one half to the top and the other half to the bottom.

Life's a Beautiful Journey:
I absolutely love the sentiment on this card and the companion greeting that says: "Thank you for being part of mine." These would be great for Father's day cards.

I stamped the globe with Jet Black Memento ink and colored it with Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends. I cut the Whisper White cardstock with a die from the Stitched Rectangles dies.

For the background, I attached a strip of the World of Good DSP to a piece of Basic Black cardstock. Then I ran both through my Big Shot using the Tasteful Textile embossing folder.

The greeting is heat embossed in white on Basic Black cardstock. I cut around the words with my Paper Snips leaving a small border. To finish it off, I tied it up with some Linen Thread.
