Christmas gift card holder ideas using the Tree Angle stamp set and Poinsettia Place patterned paper from Stampin' Up!
With many avoiding stores this holiday season and mailing gifts instead of getting together to celebrate, I think gift cards are going to be more even more popular gift option this year. These unique gift card holders are quick and easy to make. Plus, since they are a card instead of a box, they are easy to mail or tuck under your Christmas tree. Each of these handmade gift card holders uses the same basic design and the new Curvy dies from Stampin' Up! So, on y go! Let's get stamping.

Cutting Dimensions for This Easy Gift Card Holder

Cardstock (base): 5 1/2" x 11", scored at 4 1/4" and 8 1/2"
Patterned Paper (front top): 3 1/4" x 5 1/4"
Patterned Paper (front bottom): 2 1/8" x 5 1/4"
Patterned Paper (inside): 2 1/2" x 5 1/4"
Whisper White (inside): 2 1/4" x 2 1/4"

Christmas Gift Card Holder Ideas

This short video shows the steps for putting this simple gift card holder together. It's easy to do, but you need to know exactly how to position the dies and where to put the adhesive. The gift card slips into the left side of the inside of the card. There is a small piece of Whisper White cardstock on the right where you can write a message and sign your name.

This Christmas gift card holder uses the 'Tis the Season patterned paper. The three pine trees are cut with the Stitched Triangle dies. The sentiment is heat embossed with white embossing powder. The stamp is from the Tree Angle stamp set. For a little extra bling, I added star embellishments to the top of the each of the trees.

The second holiday gift card holder uses the Poinsettia Place patterned paper. I cut the poinsettia on the front from the patterned paper and layered it over ribbon from the Trimming the Town Ribbon Combo Pack and the Forever Greenery Ribbon Combo Pack. I tied the Old Olive ribbon in a loopy bow and hid the center of it under the poinsettia.

On the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment from the Merry Moose stamp set with Soft Suede ink.

Easy Gift Bag Topper and Holiday Gift Tags

Holiday gift tags using the Snowflake Splendor patterned paper, the Joy dies, and the Tree Angle stamp set from Stampin' Up!
Did you hit the stores for Black Friday this morning? Perhaps you surfed the net for some hot cyber deals. Once all those gifts come, you're going to want to wrap them and I have the perfect solution for easy gift wrap that's personalized and beautiful. The Snowflake Splendor Suite makes beautiful holiday gift wrap. So, on y go! Let's get stamping.
Holiday gift bag and tag using the Snowflake Splendor patterned paper and Snowflake Wishes stamp set from Stampin' Up! This quick and easy topper for a dollar store gift bag cover the gift inside the bag without having to use tissue paper.
Christmas gift bag topper using the Snowflake Wishes stamp set and Snowflake Splendor patterned paper from Stampin' Up! This quick and easy gift bag topper turns a plain dollar store gift bag into a handmade beauty and it hides the gift inside!

Gift Bag Topper

This gift bag topper takes a plain dollar store gift bag and makes it a beautiful handmade gift wrap. Plus, with this type of topper, there is no need for tissue paper. I don't know about you, but I'm horrible at making the tissue paper in a gift bag look pretty. Usually it ends up looking like a rumpled mess. But this bag topper keeps your present secret from snooping eyes without the tissue paper.

The piece of Pool Party cardstock is cut the width of the bag and twice the length you want for the front. Then, score along the center and fold in half. Laying the piece over the gift bag, mark where the outside edges of the handles are. Using a Paper Trimmer, carefully cut between the lines about 1/4" in from the fold. Then, snip from the fold to the cut line. This piece slides over the handles and closes the top of the bag.

The front of the gift bag topper is decorated with Snowflake Splendor patterned paper and stamps from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set. To finish, the handle is tied with a piece of Pool Party sheer ribbon.
This simple tag is made with the Joy dies from the Piece and Joy Bundle. I cut the layers from Balmy Blue cardstock, Pacific Point cardstock, and Balmy Blue Glimmer paper. The top is tied with a piece of Snowflake Splendor ribbon and some white baker's twine.

To make the snowflake on my second tag really pop, I adhered it to a piece of foam adhesive before cutting it with the die. The end of this tag is tied with both the Snowflake Splendor and the Pool Party sheer ribbons.

All-Inclusive Card Kits for Beginning Card Makers

All-inclusive card kits come with absolutely everything you need right in the box. There are card bases, envelopes, stamps, an ink spot, a clear block, adhesive dots, and embellishments. The kits include an instruction sheet showing how to make the sample cards, but they can be used to make so much more! Step outside the box and create alternative cards with the elements in the kit.

Alternative card making ideas for the Looking Up! all inclusive card kit from Stampin' Up!
Here are a couple of alternative cards I made using the supplies from the Looking Up All-Inclusive Card Kit. The only thing I added was a little bit of Basic Black cardstock.
Here is another pair of sample alternative cards. This time, I only used the stamps and extra pieces from the foil embellishments. When you are finished creating the cards in the kit, there are plenty of pieces left over for creating additional cards with your own cardstock. Here, I used Brights 6" x 6" patterned paper on a solid colored card base. Then, I used bits of left over copper foil to complete the cards. I used the Stitched Stars dies to cut copper stars from the edges of the sheets of copper foil.

However, the stamps and inks are sold separately. You can use the suggested stamp set or choose another stamp set that will work.

The Christmas Countdown and Tag Buffet Project Kits are perfect for yourself or a pre-holiday gift.

Product Medleys for Advanced Card Makers

Finally, for the advanced card makers, you might want to splurge and get them a product medley. These groups of products have specialty patterned papers, stamps, dies, and embellishments. They are the perfect item for your card making friend who already has a well-stocked craft room.

(Almost) Everything in the Annual Catalog is 10% off! Tuesday, November 24 only!

Shop for Sale Items Tuesday!
As many of you know, Stampin' Up! doesn't offer a lot of specials and I've never seen them put this many items on sale at the same time! There are a few exceptions to the sale and you'll find that list below.

This is a great time to stock up on the basics! Almost all of the cardstock, ink pads, and Stampin' Blends are included in the sale. This includes multipacks of ink and ink refills which are already offered at a discounted price. The sale also includes bundles! Because bundles are already 10% off, they aren't usually included in sales. But this time they are! So, a good deal on bundles just got even sweeter!

Is your wish list over $100?

If your wish list is over $100, you might want to consider purchasing the demonstrator starter kit. Choose $125 in stamps, inks, and accessories (over $135 in product if you choose sale items) for only $99 and FREE Shipping! Plus, get 20% off all of your orders until at least the end of April.

Because you can choose the items for your kit at the sale prices, becoming a demonstrator on Tuesday means you'll get more for your $99!

Do I have to sell anything? Nope. You are not obligated to sell anything! There is no Stampin' Up! police that will demand you return your kit or pay more money. Everything you choose in your starter kit is yours to keep - no strings attached.

Get the Demonstrator Starter Kit
But, if you order for yourself and/or sell $300 in Stampin' Up! product per quarter (or about $80 per month after your 20% discount), you will remain a demonstrator and continue to receive an automatic 20% off all orders.
