Last night was the December Card Class & Game Night. On the last Tuesday of each month, I offer a virtual card class in the On Y Go! Stamping Facebook Group. (If you'd like to join us for the January class, register here.) I choose a different stamp set or two each month and for December, I chose the So Much Happy stamp set and dies. This is a fabulous all-around stamp set for making birthday cards as well as other celebratory cards. So, on y go! Let's get stamping.
Get New Papers when you Join Stampin' Up!I remade the last card using Pacific Point and Granny Apple Green instead of Melon Mambo and Gorgeous Grape. For the patterned paper, I used the new 6" x 6" patterned paper that will be available in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. You can get these awesome patterns now when you purchase the Stampin' Up! Starter Kit!

Ok, let's see my sample card ideas using the Well Suited suite. On y go! Let's get stamping.
For this card, I cut the suspenders from a piece of the paisley patterned paper using the dies. I also added the buckles cut from silver foil. I cut the rectangle for the shirt, the color, and the placket from a piece of checked patterned paper in the suite. I added Basic Gray buttons. The die for the button cuts six buttons at once! Finally, I stamped the bowtie on Whisper White cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored it with Pool Party Stampin' Blends. I built the shirt front on a piece of Basic Gray cardstock and then on a Pool Party card base. The sentiment is from the Approaching Perfection stamp set which I got for FREE when I purchased the Well Suited suite. This stamp set has some really fun birthday sayings!
I wrapped a piece of the Basic Gray twine around the Pool Party layer before adhering it to the card front. I tied it in a big loopy bow. Then, I stamped the bowtie with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Whisper White cardstock and colored it with Pool Party ink and cut it with the Suite and Tie dies. I added the bowtie over the bow in the twine using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Like the other two cards, the sentiment for this card is from the Approaching Perfection stamp set. It says: "So what if you're a year older. You're fabulous!" I stamped it with Memento ink on Whisper White cardstock and layered it on Highland Heather cardstock. I placed a layer of Basic Gray cardstock on the card front and added a twine bow. Then, I adhered the sentiment over the bow using Stampin' Dimensionals. Supply List for these Well Suited Card IdeasClick here to see the supplies used for these cards. I am so excited to share this giant stack of swap cards I received last week using all NEW products from the 2021 January-June Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration Catalog. Over the next couple of months, I'm going to be sharing my Top 10 Favorite Things About Being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. One of the things Stampin' Up! Demonstrators love to do is swap cards. Whenever a group of us gets together, you'll always see demonstrators exchanging handmade cards with one another. It is so much fun to see all of the fabulous cards that other demos create and to get new ideas. (We've been doing this since before Pinterest!) Since we couldn't get together in person this fall, we had virtual swaps.
Have you seen the Zany Zebra stamp set? This is a perfect stamp set for beginners with a variety of sentiments and a little easy coloring. But, it's also a fabulous stamp set for experienced stampers as well. Today, I have two cards to share using the Zany Zebras stamp set, one has a definitely zany zebra and the other has a zebra who's a little more straight laced. So, on y go! Let's get stamping.
I embossed the happy birthday sentiment with white embossing powder on Basic Black cardstock. I tied a bow of black bakers twine and placed it under the sentiment. I pulled the black baker's twine from a past Paper Pumpkin box. (One of the awesome things about getting Paper Pumpkin in the mail is getting embellishments that aren't available in the catalogs!) Cutting Dimensions for This Black and White Zebra Card Design
Wild & Crazy Zebra Card IdeaMy second zebra is a kind of a punk zebra with his rainbow mohawk and stripes. All he needs is an earring. I stamped this zebra with Tuxedo Black Memento ink as well and colored it with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers in a rainbow of colors - Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, and Highland Heather. I added a little Gray Granite in the white areas of the zebra.

Have you seen the Peony Garden Suite of products?! They are absolutely gorgeous and are found in the 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog on pages 82-83. While the entire collection of stamps, dies, papers, and embellishments is fabulous, sometimes I think we forget that patterned paper can be used with other stamp sets than those in the suite. Today, I have created three cards using the Peony Garden patterned paper in the Stampin' Up! equivalent of the 2021 Pantone Colors of the year. So, on y go! Let's get stamping.
