A Simple Card Sketch with the Peace & Joy Stamps

I love card sketches and I have a simple card design for you today! This layout makes great Christmas cards. They are easy enough to create in multiples while still having a little bling and that special handmade look. For my samples, I used the Peace & Joy stamp set and the colors Mint Macaron, Shaded Spruce, and Soft Sea Foam. So, on y go! Let's get stamping.

Cutting Dimensions for this Simple Card Sketch

Card base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Card layer (metallic): 3 11/16" x 4 15/16"
Card front: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"

Bright Card Design

The card base for this bright card is Mint Macaron with a Soft Sea Foam card front. I added a layer of Silver foil for a little bling. The word "Bright" is cut from layers of Mint Macaron, Soft Sea Foam, and Silver. To save a little Silver cardstock, I cut the word from the center of the piece that I used as a layer.

I added shining stars with Mint Macaron and Soft Sea Foam ink. Some of them have Rhinestone Basic Jewels in the center for extra flash. I used one of these jewels to dot the i as well so that I didn't have to worry about keeping track of the silver dot that cuts with the die. The words "and" and "merry" are stamped with Mint Macaron ink.

Each of these cards has a piece of Mint Macaron ribbon across the front. This ribbon is from the Basket Weave Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack.

Joy Card Design

The Joy card has a Mint Macaron card base with a Shaded Spruce card front. I chose copper for the metallic accent on this card and added a few Red Rhinestone Jewels for a flash of sparkly red.

Peace Card Making Idea

The last card has a Shaded Spruce card base with a Mint Macaron card front. For this card, I went back to the silver foil as an accent. For just a little more interest to this simple card design, I added a few pearls among the leaves.
