​Here are the dimensions for the paper pieces:
Cardstock: 5 ½” x 7 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”
Contrasting cardstock:

• 1 ¼” x 8”, scored at 4”
• 2 ¾” x 5”

Whisper White or Vanilla cardstock:

• 2 ½” x 4 ¾”
• 3 ½” x ¾” (x2)
• 2 ¾” x 3 ½”

Patterned paper: 1 ½” x 5 ½”
Contrasting patterned paper: 1 ¼” x 5 ¼”

This card uses the Timeless Tulips stamp set from the 2020 January - June Mini Catalog. I'm so glad this set will be returning in the annual catalog! It also uses the Country Club DSP and the Brights 6" x 6" DSP.  I added some Baker's twine with a little bow to the sentiment and a few Noble Peacock rhinestones.

You can see how the card opens to reveal a second message below. There is additional white space to write your own personal message before sending the card. 

My second card uses the Parisian Beauty stamp set with the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper. The stamps are from the 2020 January - June Mini Catalog and the paper is in the 2019-20 Annual Catalog. Unfortunately, both are being discontinued. I love this stamp with the soft colors of the paper.

Start with a piece of 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock. (I used Calypso Coral.)

With the paper turned the long way, score at 5 1/2" so that you could fold your cardstock in half. 

With the paper turned the short way. score at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8". 

Following along the score lines, cut the upper two outer rectangles as shown on the diagram to the right. The cut out areas are shown in purple. 

Fold the sides of your card in towards the center. (They should touch in the middle. If they overlap, you can trim one side or let them overlap slightly.)

Fold the top down over these two flaps. (You may find that the tops of the flaps folding inward prevent the top of the card from folding down. If this is the case, trim the tops of the two side panels a little more until the top of the card can easily fold down.)

I stamped the little yellow flowers directly on the Whisper White circle. The other flowers, leaves, vase, and shelf are stamped on pieces of the Bird Ballad DSP with black ink. I punched the flowers, leaves, and vase using the Vases Builder punch. (While the stamps are retiring, the punch will still be around next year!) Likewise, I stamped the shelf, but then I cut it out with my paper snips. All of these pieces are attached with Stampin' Dimensionals to make them pop off the card front.

A few weeks ago, I shared cards made with the scrappy strip technique. Today, I have a pair of cards using the scrappy quilt technique. This is another great way to use up those leftover strips of patterned paper.

Start with strips of patterned paper. The strips can be all the same width or varying widths. I would make them 1/4" to 3/4" wide. At least some of the strips should be at least 5" long. Longer strips are better, but shorter ones will work too. 

You also need a piece of Whisper White or Very Vanilla cardstock that is the size of a card front. I used 5 1/4" x 4.'' You can cut your piece down at the end if you decide you would like your card front to be smaller.

Start by adhering one strip of patterned paper diagonally across your piece of cardstock. You can adhere each piece individually, or cover your card front with snail adhesive making sure to get all the way to the edges.  Your strip of patterned paper should hang off the edges of your cardstock.

Now adhere a second strip perpendicular to the first strip. Adhere a third strip next to this strip. Now, change directions again. The fourth strip should be adhered perpendicular to the third strip. 

Continue changing directions every 1-3 pieces of patterned paper. 

When you have covered an entire area, flip your piece of cardstock over and trim the edges of the patterned paper to match the edges of your cardstock. You could use a paper trimmer to do this, but I prefer to use some long-edged scissors.

Continue in the same manner until you've filled the whole card front. This piece can now be mounted on a card base. You can add images to the front or even just add a sentiment. 

This technique is so addictive! It's impossible to just make one. But, it's a great way to use up bits of Designer Series Paper.
