I love card sketches for making quick and easy handmade cards! This basic card design will work with so many stamp sets and patterned paper.

These first two handmade cards use the NEW Cheerful Daisies stamp set from Stampin' Up! These stamps will be available in the upcoming 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.

We did this card during my monthly Mystery Stamping video. Every Tuesday night, I'm live on YouTube for Stamp with Me Tuesday where we make a card with supplies from your own stash. One night per month, we do Mystery Stamping.

Bottled Happiness Handmade Card

Here's the same basic layout, but this time, I used the Bottled Happiness stamp set from Stampin' Up! with the Hello, Irresistible patterned paper from Stampin' Up!

I inked the blossoms in Petal pink, then I colored the centers with my Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Marker. I also colored the darker flowers with a Calypso Coral Stampin' Write marker. Then I stamped the blooms and stamped the leaf stamp with Lost Lagoon ink.

Use a Basic Card Sketch for Quick Cards

Here is the basic card sketch that I used for these cards. You can add patterned paper for the background like I did on many of these cards, or a embossed piece of cardstock like I did on the white Cheerful Daisies card.

Simply layer your cardstocks, tie some ribbon, and add a punched or die-cut sentiment to the front. It's so quick and easy and will work with nearly every stamp set and patterned paper.

Two-Tone Flora Card Design

My last sample handmade card flips this basic sketch. Instead of it being a portrait or vertical card, it is now landscape. The ribbon is stilled tied along the short end and there is a more vertical greeting on the die-cut shape.

This card uses the Two-Tone Flora and Something Fancy stamp sets with the NEW Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper. This patterned paper is in shades of blue: Balmy Blue, Boho Blue, Misty Moonlight, and Night of Navy. You can seem more cards with this combination in my recent blog post.
