Beautiful Magic Window Fun Fold Card with the NEW Layers of Beauty Stamp Set

I used the Layers of Beauty stamp set to create a really cool magic window card during my Thursday night live this week. If you missed it, you can catch the replay below. You'll also find more photos and the complete supply lists for these card.

Here's the step-by-step video tutorial to create the magic window card you see below. 

Fun Fold Magic Window Card

Here is the magic window card that I shared during my live. It features the detailed image on the window and then the card opens to reveal the softer image without the outline. The inner card opens again to have a place to write a message. 

The stencils or masks as Stampin' Up! likes to call them in the Layers of Beauty bundle make it easy to create these beautiful shaded roses. Each mask is numbered and has a notch at the top to make it easier to line them up as you go. 

I colored these roses in Pretty in Pink and Flirty Flamingo. The leaves are Old Olive and Mossy Meadow. 

I used a window sheet for the front and sandwiched it between two pieces of cardstock. To stamp on the window sheet, I used Stazon ink. This is a permanent solvent-based ink. It's perfect for stamping on non-porous surfaces and for water coloring.

Water Colored Thank You Card

While I love the stencils for creating beautiful multicolored images, the giant outline stamp in the Layers of Beauty set is perfect for water coloring too!

I started by stamping the flowers with Saddle Brown Stazon ink on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. (Did you know that Stampin' Up! offers brown Stazon?!?) Then, I dabbed ink on a clear block and used a Water Painter to color in the images with Pretty in Pink, Old Olive, and Daffodil Delight.
