Quick and easy cards from a card sketch using stamps, ink, paper, and a little ribbon. These cards use the Let's Set Sail, Catch You Later, and Artfully Layered stamp sets from Stampin' Up!
If you know me, I love card sketches for making quick and easy cards, and this one is a great one! These cards are so easy to make with just stamps, ink, paper, and a little ribbon.

Whether you want to make a baby card, a birthday card, or a just because card, it will work this sketch. For these samples, I've used the Let's Set Sail, Catch You Later, and Artfully Layered stamp sets.

You'll find the card sketch, all the cutting dimensions, and the supply list for these sample cards below. So, on y go! Let's get stamping.

A Simple Card Sketch

Here is the simple card sketch for you. You'll need the following paper:

  • Cardstock: 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”
  • Coordinating Cardstock: (4) 2 ½” x 1 7/8”
  • Patterned Paper: (2 pieces each of 2 different designs) 2 ¼” x 1 5/8”
  • White or vanilla cardstock: 2” x 3 ¼”
  • Cardstock: 2 ¼” x 3 ½”
  • White or vanilla cardstock: 5 ¼” x 4”

And of course, a bit of ribbon!
Create all sorts of cards using a card sketch. This card layout will work for any occasion.
The Catch You Later stamp set from Stampin' Up! is perfect for creating quick and easy cards like this one from a card sketch.

Catch You Later Card

My first sample uses the Artfully Composed stamp set from Stampin' Up!® I used the 6"x6" Subtles Designer Series Paper. Each year, Stampin' Up! comes out with monochromatic patterned paper in all of the colors. It is perfect for matching with any project. This is the 2021-2022 patterns, but there will be new patterns in the new 2022-2023 Annual Catalog.

I colored this cute little cat and fish with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

Hey There! Artfully Layered Card

I love the Artfully Layered stamp set and Artfully Composed pattern paper from Stampin' Up! I used both of them for this next card sample.

I stamped the large leaf with Just Jade ink. I stamped it off on scrap paper before stamping it on the Basic White cardstock. Then, I stamped the sentiment with Evening Evergreen ink.

Create a sweet baby card with the Let's Set Sail stamp set from Stampin' Up! This quick and easy card was made from a simple card sketch.

Welcome Baby Card

This card is perfect for welcoming a new baby. It uses the Let's Set Sail stamp set and more of that 6"x6" patterned paper that I used in the first card. This time in Coastal Cabana. I stamped the boat with Soft Suede ink and added the sails in Coastal Cabana. I stamped the water under the boat with Pool Party ink.

The fun stitched layer was made with the Stitched So Sweetly die set that is being retired. The sentiment for this card comes from the retired Turtle Friends stamp set.
