I have a really cool fun fold card design to share with you today - a swing card! When you open this card, the sentiment flips over. (Keep reading for more photos of this card open!) By doing the partial die-cutting technique, you can make this style of card with any basic shape or label die.

I showed exactly how to make this card during my YouTube live this week. And, I have a FREE downloadable quick reference guide for you below!

Patterned paper makes it really easy to make this card. I shared samples using soon-to-come, current, and soon-to-be-retired stamp sets from Stampin' Up!® You get a little sneak peek of the Splendid Day suite, another sample with the Simply Fabulous stamp set, and one last idea using the Artfully Composed suite.

Ok, on y go! Let's get stamping.

Sneak Peek: Splendid Thoughts Card

I really love the new Splendid Day suite, including the Splendid Thoughts stamp set and the gorgeous Splendid Day specialty paper. It is so elegant! The paper has foil designs on one side of each sheet. For this swing card, I used the All That Dies for the sentiment.

To create the swing card, you need the following supplies:

Cardstock: 4 1/4" x 11"
Patterned Paper: (2 - same or different) 4" x 2 1/2"
Patterned Paper: 4" x 3"
White or Vanilla: 2 1/4" x 4"
White or Vanilla: about a quarter sheet scrap
Dies - a shape or label type die
Stamps, Ink, Adhesives, Embellishments

Simply Fabulous Fun Fold Card

I've really been having fun with the Simply Fabulous stamp set this week! I used it to create a field of flowers. I die cut the piece using the Stitched Rectangle dies.

To create the swing card, start by scoring the 4 1/4" x 11" cardstock at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2". Adhere the patterned paper to the far left section. Then, lay your die over the left side so that the score line is down the middle of the die. Here is the slightly tricky part, you may want to watch the video to see exactly how it's done. Put the top cutting plate over the die, but only put it on the left side. The end should line up with the score line.

Cut two more pieces of Basic White or Very Vanilla cardstock using the same die. Then, stamp the pieces and adhere them to either side of the die-cut section of the card base.

Artfully Layered Flip Card

I am going to miss the Artfully Composed suite so much! I absolutely love it. The colors were so bright and I loved the giant leaf stamp and the coordinating dies. Unfortunately, the stamps are already sold out. But, you can still pick up the dies and paper until the end of June or until they sell out - whichever comes first.

I cut the smaller leaf from Soft Succulent and some of the patterned paper. I used the cut out pieces of the patterned paper and fitted them into the Soft Succulent piece to create a filled in leaf. The other leaf is stamped with Calypso Coral.
