Create Beautiful Cards Quickly with a Card Template

I love using card templates, or card sketches, to create handmade cards quickly. And I had so much fun playing with some new stamp sets and a current stamp set from Stampin' Up!®️ to create these beautiful cards.

Simple Card Sketch

Here's the simple card sketch for these handmade cards. I used patterned paper for the background layer and a piece of coordinating cardstock down the center to highlight the focal image. 

The stamped image on the card front is layered on the same color of cardstock as the card base creating unity. But, the sentiment strip isn't layered to keep the card from becoming too symmetrical. 

Country Flowers Card

My first handmade card sample from this card sketch uses the new Country Flowers stamp set from Stampin' Up!®️ This stamp set will be available in the new 2024-2025 Annual Catalog that comes out May 1. If you haven't requested your copy yet, you can do that here. 

I also used a couple of the new 2024-2026 In Colors for this card. I'm absolutely in love with these new colors. They're like bright pastels. Not really bright, but not pastel either. I used Pretty in Pink and Summer Splash on this card and the new patterned paper that matches.

Layers of Beauty Floral Card

This beautiful floral card uses the Layers of Beauty stamp set with the Unbounded Beauty patterned paper. 

I stamped the giant cluster of roses with Jet Black Stazon ink on Fluid 100 Watercolor paper. Then, I used a water painter and ink from my ink pads to watercolor the flowers. This card was done in Petunia Pop and Lemon Lime Twist.

Encouragement Card to Lift You Up

Send someone a little note of encouragement with a handmade card made with the Hot Air Balloon stamp set and Lighter Than Air patterned paper. 

I stamped this hot air balloon in Petal Pink and Calypso Coral. This stamp set is carrying over to the new annual catalog, but the beautiful coordinating patterned paper is being retired. So, make sure to grab it before it's gone!
