I'm hopping with the FAB Instahop Design Team this month over on Instagram. This month's theme is Halloween Movies. Since I'm fairly indecisive, I had a hard time choosing my favorite Halloween move. Retro Roller Skating Card

Here's the card that I shared over on Instagram. Have you guessed which Halloween movie this card is based on? It's not easy, because just the background was inspired by some of the costumes from the movie.

Still stumped? Ghostbuster 2016! That's the all-girl remake of the original. Their ghostbusting jumpsuits were khaki with stripes in orange and reflective tape. Do you see it now?

I used some Glow-in-the-Dark cardstock for the center stripes on this handmade card to represent the reflective tape.

Congratulations Card in Black, White, and Green

Any guesses which Halloween move inspired this handmade congratulations card? It's mostly based on the colors again, but also the hill and car.

Have you figured it out? Betelgeuse. In addition to the black and white of Beetlejuice's suit and the lime green of his hair, I recreated a hill with a car. It made me think of one of the opening scenes where Adam and Barbara crashed off a bridge setting off the events of the rest of the movie.

Let's Do a Happy Dance

Here's the card that I shared during this week's Thursday Night Live YouTube video. I love the retro disco vibe of this card. Any guesses which Halloween movie inspired this handmade card?

Once again, I was inspired by the color scheme of the costumes as well as one of the scenes from the movie. This disco card was inspired by Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It has the bright pink, lime green, and purple from Buffy's Valley Girl costumes. Plus, the disco ball made me think of the dance scene from the end of the movie. I guess that wasn't really a happy dance though!
