Easy Handmade Gift Bags using Patterned Paper

I absolutely love pretty packaging at Christmas and I LOVE patterned paper! So, what could be better than creating handmade gift bags using beautiful patterned paper from my stash? These bags are so quick and easy to make. And you can make them in any size!

I shared step by step how to make these bags during my weekly Stamp with Me Tuesday YouTube video. If you missed it, you can watch the replay below. It really is the easiest way to see how to make these.

Add a Festive Tag to your Handmade Gift Bag

If you want a window in your bag, make sure to cut it before you add any adhesive. You'll want to score the bag first so you know where to cut the hole. Then, use window sheeting on the back. 

The bag on the left uses the Traditions of St. Nick paper and the one on the right uses the Delightful Floral paper. Both of these are only available online. For the tags on these gift bags, I used the Sending Cheer stamps and dies. Check back on Thursday for more ideas using this fun bundle!

Make a Larger Gift Bag

I wanted to make a little bit larger gift bag, so I adhered two pieces of the Merry Bold & Bright patterned paper together. Then, I used the same method to turn my larger piece into a gift bag. 

I folded down the top of the paper before I glued it together so that you can see both sides of the paper. And of course, I added a handmade gift tag using the same Sending Cheer stamp set and dies. I just love how festive this is!
