Easy to Make Cards for Summer

The weather has finally warmed up around here and it seems that summer is in full swing. (Although I fully expect another cold snap!) The You're a Peach suite is perfect for all sorts of summer cards. Whether you need birthday cards, thank you cards, or just a handmade card to say hello, the Sweet as a Peach stamp set has you covered. So, on y go! Let's get stamping.

a Summer Birthday Card

The warm Pale Papaya and Calypso Coral on this card make it the perfect summer birthday card. I inked the flowers in Pale Papaya and then sponged a little Calypso Coral on the edges with a sponge dauber for a two-tone look. The Pale Papaya & White ribbon is folded and tied with a piece of Linen Thread before being adhered to the card front with a Mini Glue Dot. 

Peachy Day Card Design

I used the Peach dies to cut the shapes from Pale Papaya cardstock and then sponged the edges with a little Calypso Coral to give the peaches dimension. It also helps them match the beautiful watercolored peaches in the patterned paper. The front is layered with pieces of patterned paper and Balmy Blue and Pale Papaya cardstock cut with the Layering Circle dies. I added a piece of the Pale Papaya & White ribbon to the front and secured the ends with tape on the back. Then, I tied two pieces of Linen Thread around the ribbon to create an accent.

Tri-Fold Fun Fold Card Idea

This unique fun fold card opens to the left and then to the right to create a neat tri-fold card design. The Calypso Coral card base has a window cut with the Stitched Rectangle dies. I also used the Stitched Rectangle dies to create a Pale Papaya frame that is layered to the back of the card front. A smaller rectangle was cut from Basic White cardstock. I stamped flowers on this rectangle similar to the first card design. These flowers match the beautiful patterned paper behind them.
