Fun Card Making Technique: Easy Masking

I have a super fun and easy card making technique to share today! All you need is some sticky notes and some flower, leaf, or patterned stamps. We did this last night for my weekly Mystery Stamping event in my Facebook group, and we had a blast! So, on y go! Let's get stamping.

Cutting Dimensions for these fun card ideas

Colored cardstock: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", score at 4 1/4"
Coordinating cardstock: 3 3/4" x 5"
White or Vanilla cardstock: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"

Directions for this easy card

Place a sticky note on your piece of white or vanilla cardstock. Stamp around it, overlapping the edges of the sticky note. Remove the sticky note and stamp a greeting. Stick your pieces together. That's it! So quick and easy. Plus, if you don't add extra embellishments, it's very flat and easy to mail.

My first floral card idea used the Pretty Perennials stamp set with the new 2021-2023 In Colors. The confetti card to the left, uses the Pattern Play stamp set. This set is retiring in just a couple weeks. 

Rooted in Nature card

This is one of my favorites of the bunch! It uses the retiring Rooted in Nature stamp set. I've stamped a variety of leaves in Soft Sea Foam, Granny Apple Green, Old Olive, and Just Jade. Then I added a few Just Jade enamel dots (also retiring!).

Sneak Peek of the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog

My last card is a little sneak peek of the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog that comes out May 4. This floral card idea uses the Quiet Meadow stamp set. I stamped the flowers with Calypso Coral ink and then added other elements in Pale Papaya, So Saffron, and Soft Succulent. The ribbon is white crinkled seam binding that I colored with my Pale Papaya Stampin' Blend alcohol marker.
