Bored of generic thank you notes? Create a DIY Thank You Card that not only expresses your gratitude but also reflects your personality. Learn the plastic wrap technique, and explore the versatility of the Stampin' Up! Just My Type stamp set. It's time to elevate your gratitude with a touch of artistry. Intriguing, isn't it? See the video tutorial to start your crafting journey.

Colorful Handmade Thank You Card

I used the plastic wrap technique for the background of this handmade thank you card and finished it with the Just My Type stamp set. To do this technique, start with a piece of plastic wrap that is bigger than your piece of watercolor paper. Lay it out on your work surface, but don't try to get it flat. You'll want a few wrinkles and bunches! Using 2-4 colors of ink, tap your ink pads into different areas of the plastic wrap. Use a Stampin' Spritz to spritz with water. Lay your watercolor paper on top of your plastic wrap and press down. When you peal it off, you'll have a beautiful background like this.

Handmade Thank You Card with a Watery Look

The plastic wrap technique is perfect for creating a watery background for the Sea Turtle stamp set. I used Lemon Lime Twist, Lemon Lolly, and Granny Apple Green to create the background. Then, I stamped sea turtles with Pretty Peacock and some wavy images with Granny Apple Green.

The sentiment for this handmade thank you card comes from the Phrases for All stamp set. This set has lots of big bold greetings that are perfect for using with patterned paper or background techniques like this one.

One More Handmade Thank You Card

Here's one more handmade thank you card idea using the Good Feelings stamp set. Like the Phrases for All stamp set, this set is filled with big, bold greetings.

For the plastic wrap technique background, I used Gorgeous Grape, Coastal Cabana, and Fresh Freesia ink pads. I cut the Basic White cardstock for the sentiment with the Nested Essentials dies. I absolutely LOVE this set of dies and have been using it on EVERYTHING! It is definitely a must-have basic for your craft room.
