Fun Fold Card Idea: Front Flip Cards

Fun fold card using the NEW Dragonfly Garden stamp set from the upcoming 2021 January-June Mini Catalog from Stampin' Up!

This quick and easy fun fold card has a cool flap that flips up from the top allowing you to open the card. We made this card during last night's Mystery Stamping event because it's such an easy fun fold card to make and it works with a variety of papers and stamps. So, on y go! Let's get stamping.

Cutting Dimensions for this Quick Card Making Idea

Cardstock: 8 ½” x 5 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”
Cardstock (flap): 1 ¾” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”
White or Vanilla Cardstock (flap): 1 ½” x 4”
Designer Series Paper: 5 ¼” x 4”
White or Vanilla Cardstock (interior): 5 ¼” x 4”

Directions for this Easy Fun Fold Card Design

1. Fold your piece of 8 ½” x 5 ½” cardstock in half on the score line to create a card base in portrait orientation.
2. Adhere the piece of 5 ¼” x 4” patterned paper to the card front.
3. Fold the piece of 8 ½” x 1 ¾” cardstock in half on the score line.
4. Slide it over the front of your card from the top towards the right side of your card front.
5. Carefully hold the folded piece of 8 ½” x 1 ¾” cardstock in place while you open the card.
6. Put adhesive on the back of the folded piece of 8 ½” x 1 ¾” cardstock.
7. Carefully close the back of your card to secure the piece of 8 ½” x 1 ¾” cardstock.
8. Stamp a design or sentiment on the piece of 1 ½” x 4” White or Vanilla cardstock.
9. Adhere the stamped piece of 1 ½” x 4” White or Vanilla cardstock to the small flap on the front of your card. 
10. Adhere the 5 ¼” x 4” White or Vanilla cardstock to the inside of the card.
