Fun Fold Card Idea: Locking Gate Card

For last night's Mystery Stamping, we made this cool locking gate fold card. This card is so quick and easy because it's all about the patterned paper! I love patterned paper! One of the great things about this card, is that it uses skinnier pieces of patterned paper. They aren't exactly scraps, but small enough that you'll probably be able to get the pieces from bits you've sliced off for other projects.

Cutting Dimensions for this Fun Fold Card

• Cardstock: 8 ½” x 5 ½”, scored at 2 1/8”
• Cardstock: (3) 1 ½” x 3 ½”
• Patterned Paper: (2) 5 ¼” x 1 7/8”
• Patterned Paper: (2) 1 ¼” x 3 ¼”
• White or Vanilla: 1 ¼” x 3 ¼”
• White or Vanilla: 5 ¼” x 4”

Turtle Friends Baby Card

This sweet baby card uses the Turtle Friends stamp set and the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper pack. I stamped the turtles with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored the heads and legs with Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends. For the shells, I stamped the turtles a second time on a piece of Pattern Plan patterned paper. Then, I cut close to the edge of the shell. I added the pieces to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Sweet as a Peach Card Design

I love the Sweet as a Peach stamp set almost as much as I love the You're a Peach patterned paper. I absolutely adore the color combination of Pale Papaya and Calypso Coral.

I inked the peach with Pale Papaya ink and then used a sponge dauber to sponge a little Calypso Coral ink on the edges. I cut the peach and the leaves with the Peach dies.

I used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the peach to the card front. I overlapped one of the other strips a little, but you want to be care not to overlap too much or it will be difficult to open and close the card.

Elegant Congratulations Fun Fold Card

My last fun fold card (or should I say fancy fold card?) uses the Simply Elegant patterned paper. I embossed the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set with Silver embossing powder on Basic Black cardstock. 

So simple and elegant!
