Give Thanks with Cards and DIY Table Decorations

This month, we are all sharing projects about giving thanks. I have a thank you card idea that is full of texture. Plus, I have a fun DIY table decoration that you can make for your Thanksgiving table.

Thank You Card Idea with Texture

If you'd like to see exactly how I made this beautiful thank you card that is full of texture, I have a step-by-step video tutorial for you.

For this clean and simple card design, I used the Celebrate Sunflower stamp set and Sunflower dies. I also used the Harvest Meadow patterned paper.

I cut the outline of the flower and leaves from Basic White cardstock. I cut the back from the patterned paper. I adhered the white outlines to the patterned paper backgrounds.

Cutting dimensions:

Thick Basic White: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Basic White: 5 1/4" x 4"
Additional Basic White cardstock for die-cut pieces and sentiment

I liked the white so much that I decided to try this same design with a Sahara Sand and a Soft Suede base. What do you think, which is your favorite?

Turkey Table Decoration

This is a fun DIY table decoration for Thanksgiving that would be a great craft to do with kids or to do on your own. You can write someone's name on the strip of white or add a Thanksgiving greeting. The clothespin could clip on a napkin or just sit on the table.

I made these fun little clothespin turkeys last year as well. I just updated it for this year with the Harvest Meadow patterned paper. You can watch this video that I made last year to see how to put the pieces together.

Cutting Dimensions for this Turkey

Patterned Paper: 6" x 3" (or two strips 6" x 1 1/2")
Soft Suede cardstock: cut with the two smallest circles from the Layering Circles Dies
Crushed Curry cardstock: cut with the smallest triangle from the Stitched Triangle Dies
Calypso Coral cardstock: punched with the Whale Builder punch
Whisper White: cut with the smallest die from the Stitched Rectangle dies
Clothes pin (about 3 inches)
Matte Black Dots
