Raise your hand if you have a stash of washi hidden someplace with your craft supplies. I see you! We all have a few rolls - or more than a few rolls - don't we? I know I do.

It is time to break out that washi tape and start using it on your handmade cards. I have some great ideas for you for how to use your washi tape using the gorgeous Glitter Washi Four Pack from Stampin' Up!® This washi so so pretty and sparkly! and just like the glimmer paper, it is all the sparkle with none of the mess of actual glitter. It is perfect for making cards.

During my live video on Thursday, I shared how to make the Celebrate Sunflowers card. If you missed it, you might want to watch the replay and see exactly how I made it. And here's a secret, if you want the tutorial for the Fond of Autumn card, it will be in my October tutorial bundle that I send out for FREE with every order.

Ok, on y go! Let's get stamping.

Let's Celebrate You with Sparkly Washi Tape

This card was so much fun to make during the live event. I used the Perfectly Penciled patterned paper for the black and white background. Then, I added a strip of Granny Apple Green washi tape between the two patterns. Using washi tape like a flat piece of ribbon is one of my favorite ways to use it.

I also used washi on the die-cut leaves for this sunflower. I shared exactly how to do it during the live event.

Just a Note...

This beautiful notecard uses the Fond of Autumn stamp set and coordinating Autumn Bouquet dies from Stampin' Up! I used the Gingham Cottage patterned paper and ran strips of Pumpkin Pie and Granny Apple Green washi tape down the side.

I colored the leaves with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. Then, to add a little more sparkle, I went over the veins in the leaves with a Wink of Stella Glitter marker. Again - all the sparkle with none of the mess!

Halloween Card with Sparkly Stripes

For this Halloween card, I wanted to create a black and black stripe with sparkle. So, I added strips of black glitter washi tape to black cardstock. This creates a beautiful subtle stripe.

Then, I added a starred pattern from the Black and White Designs patterned paper. I cut a tag with the Tailor Made Tags dies and added strips of washi to tie it into the rest of the card.

I hope you'll dig into your stash and start using some of that washi tape you've been hoarding!
