During tonight's live YouTube demonstration, I showed how to create a gorgeous ink blended background using blending brushes and Classic Stampin' Pads. You can see the card that I made w during the event below. It has a little bit different color scheme than the one I had originally planned, so let me know which one you like better!

This background is perfect for a snowy holiday card like this one that I made with the Joyful Flurry stamp set from Stampin' Up!® But it works great for a floral card as well, like this one that I made with the new Beautifully Happy stamp set. This set will be available for FREE in January as part of Sale-A-Bration 2022. I wonder what other types of stamps you could use with this same background technique?

If you missed the video tutorial where I showed exactly how to do this rubber stamping technique, you can watch it here. I also shared a stack of sample handmade cards that I received this weekend. There are so many amazing cards! You don't want to miss it.

Ok, on y go! Let's get stamping.

Beautifully Happy Thank You Card

I am absolutely loving the new Beautifully Happy stamp set. You can't get these stamps yet, but they will be available for FREE in January & February as part of Sale-A-Bration 2022.

I also used the new Painted Dots stamp set. This will be in the January-April 2022 Mini Catalog. I used Coastal Cabana, Fresh Freesia, and Gorgeous Grape for the background of this card. I splattered water on the background to leave watermarks and splattered Wink of Stella for a little glitz. It doesn't show well in the photo though!

Handmade Holiday Card

If you haven't started your Christmas cards yet, this would be a great card to make because it's a New Year's card instead! That means, you'd get an extra week to get it done. Lol.

You can see my original card design where I did the ink blending in Fresh Freesia, Tahitian Tide, and Coastal Cabana. I splattered it with water to create water spots. Then, I splattered it with some white re-inker mixed with a little water. This created the bright white spots. I stamped snowflakes in White ink and added the background sentiment with Tahitian Tide.

Another Take on the Holiday Card

I wasn't sure that I liked the way the colors came together on the sample card. So, during my live demonstration, I went out on a limb and swapped in Night of Navy for the Coastal Cabana. I added the additional rectangle in Tahitian Tide and the sentiment on Night of Navy.

Which one do you like better?

For both of these cards, I added one of the Wonderful Snowflakes using a Stampin' Dimensional. Then, for a little more bling, I popped on a couple of Adhesive-Backed Stars.
