March Card Class To Go with the Cake Fancy Stamps

In March, I offered the Cake Fancy class to go. This fun do-at-your-own-pace class featured 5 cards using very limited supplies. My card class to go kits are designed to use a stamp set, 5-6 ink pads, and some basic paper crafting supplies like adhesive. If you're a newer crafter without all the things, they are perfect!

Here is the March Card Class to Go kit. Participants got all of the paper supplies to make two of each card, plus some patterned paper, embellishments, and a special gift. You can see this month's gift at the front. It was a fun box with a cake in a mug mix inside.

Time for Cake!

The Cake Fancy Card Class to Go used the NEW Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!®️ I love the bright colors of this beautiful patterned paper!

This fun celebration card uses Melon Mambo and Lemon Lolly for a bright punch! And I love the Shiny Sequins for the accents. I was so happy that I had enough of them to send out since they sold out so quickly!

Send Birthday Wishes with a Handmade Card

While the stars of the stamp set are the cake images, you can see that you can do more with these stamps than just stamp cakes! 

Here, I used the small rectangle stamp to create a row of colorful birthday candles. I mounted them on a piece of Highland Heather accented with the Fun Patterns embossing folder. 

How about a slice of cake?

While most of the Flowering Zinnias patterned paper is very bright, it also has Petal Pink and this fun piece of polka-dot Petal Pink. I used it to create a softer card in pink and brown. 

I added a little accent flower to the card front by stamping the flower on a scrap of Basic White and trimming it out. Then, I added it to the front with a Stampin' Dimensional.

Floral Fun Fold Card for a Special Day

I always like to include at least one fun fold card with all of my classes - and here is an easy one that really shows off the gorgeous Flowering Zinnias patterned paper.

I used the flowers from the Cake Fancy stamp set to create a mound of flowers on the front tied with a bow stamped with Melon Mambo ink. 

The focal image partially covers the beautiful zinnia patterned paper when the card is completely closed, but when you open it up, you can see all the beautiful flowers!

I really love how this fun fold card design turned out!

A Sweet Handmade Card for a Special Day

The final handmade card in the Cake Fancy Card Class to Go is another card that doesn't feature a cake. In fact, it's a little out of the box in its design. 

I used the rectangles that create the layers of cake to create stripes running down this card front. Then, I stamped the sentiment on a piece of Basic White punched with the Modern Oval punch and added it to the front.
