Simple Card Idea with Punched Patterned Paper

This card is quick and easy to make. I simply used the Tailored Tag punch to punch pieces from the Well Suited patterned paper. Then, I layered them on a piece of 3 3/4" x 5" Basic Black cardstock. You can't tell, but I trimmed the edges flush and put it on a second piece of 3 15/16" x 5 3/16" Basic Black cardstock to create the border. 

To finish this handmade card, I wrapped the front in a piece of black baker's twine. I cut a 1 1/2" strip of Basic White cardstock for the sentiment and used the Tailored Tag punch to punch out the greeting. This makes it closer to a hexagon than the other pieces since the sides aren't as wide. I layered the card front on a piece of 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Thick Basic White cardstock that had been folded in half to create the card base. 

A Card with a Suit Front

The Suit & Tie dies make it easy to create a suit front on the front of the card. Simply cut the pieces with the dies and layer them on a piece of 3 3/4" x 5" Basic White cardstock. 

I stamped the bowtie with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored it with Pool Party Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. 

For the sentiment, I cut a tag using the Tailor Made Tag dies from Basic White cardstock. I stamped the sentiment with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Then, I stamped the sentiment again with Versamark ink on a piece of Basic Black cardstock and embossed it with white embossing powder. I trimmed the Basic Black cardstock and adhered it with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

Colorful Father's Day Card Design

Let's face it, some dads are more colorful than others. Here is a Father's Day card design with flair.

I repeatedly stamped the bow ties with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a piece of 4 3/4" x 3 1/2" Basic White cardstock. Then, I colored them with Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Misty Moonlight, and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. I stamped an additional bow tie on scrap paper and cut it with the dies to layer on the sentiment. 

For the sentiment, I used a piece of washi tape on the stamp to mask off the "Handsome" on the sentiment stamp. (See the card above for the full sentiment.) I inked up the stamp, pulled off the washi tape, and stamped it on my piece of 2 3/4" x 1 1/4" Basic White cardstock. I layered this on a piece of 3" x 1 1/2" Basic Black cardstock. To finish the card, I layered the card front on a piece of 4 15/16" x 3 11/16" Basic Black cardstock and added a little black baker's twine around the front of the card. Finally, I layered the card front on a piece of 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Pool Party cardstock for the card base.
