Happy June! Father's Day will be here before you know it and today, I have some fabulous cards for dad. These handmade cards are the perfect way to say Happy Father's Day to all the fathers in your life. On y go! Let's get stamping.
If you love this patterned paper, be sure to get it before it's gone! Many items from the January-June Mini Catalog will be discontinued at the end of June and are only available while supplies last. The Handsomely Suited stamps and dies will still be available, but the patterned paper will retire. Be sure to see the full list of retiring items and shop the Last Chance Sale.
For the sentiment, I cut a tag using the Tailor Made Tag dies from Basic White cardstock. I stamped the sentiment with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Then, I stamped the sentiment again with Versamark ink on a piece of Basic Black cardstock and embossed it with white embossing powder. I trimmed the Basic Black cardstock and adhered it with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
For the sentiment, I used a piece of washi tape on the stamp to mask off the "Handsome" on the sentiment stamp. (See the card above for the full sentiment.) I inked up the stamp, pulled off the washi tape, and stamped it on my piece of 2 3/4" x 1 1/4" Basic White cardstock. I layered this on a piece of 3" x 1 1/2" Basic Black cardstock. To finish the card, I layered the card front on a piece of 4 15/16" x 3 11/16" Basic Black cardstock and added a little black baker's twine around the front of the card. Finally, I layered the card front on a piece of 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Pool Party cardstock for the card base.
