Masculine card ideas using the Cactus Cuties stamp set from Stampin' Up! Easy to make cards in neutral colors. Includes a video tutorial and complete supply list.
It can be hard making handmade cards for guys. The Cactus Cuties stamp set and Cactus Builder punch are perfect for making masculine cards when you pair them with neutral colors like Crumb Cake, Night of Navy, and Soft Succulent. These cards have a modern feel while appealing to everyone.

I also used a number of rubber stamping and card making techniques on these cards, like masking and embossing. You'll want to check out the video to see exactly how the demo card was made.

All of the cutting dimensions for my demo card are below.

Don't forget, I'm live every Thursday evening at 8pm Eastern on YouTube with more fabulous card making ideas for you!

Ok, on y go! Let's get stamping.
Complete Supply List

Simple Stamping Card Idea

I didn't demonstrate this card, but this is the simple stamping version of the card that I made during my live demonstration. This card only uses stamps, ink, paper, and just a little Linen Thread for an easy simple stamping card.

I used masking to create the group of three cacti so that it looks like two of the plants are in front of the larger plant in the back. To create interest on the background, I used 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper in Night of Navy.

Great Card for Guys

Here is the card that I made during my live demonstration. This card and the card above have the same cutting dimensions.

Crumb Cake: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Crumb Cake: 5 1/4" x 4"
Soft Suede: 4 1/4" x 3 1/4"
Basic White: 4" x 3"
Plus additional Basic White and Soft Suede cardstock for stamping

This Card is On Point

I used the Neutrals 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper to create the feeling of a mountainous desert on this card front. I tore strips of patterned paper in Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, and Sahara Sand and layered them on the front of the card.

The cactus is stamped with Soft Succulent and Soft Suede and fussy cut it with my paper snips. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere it to a piece of Basic White cardstock that I had embossed with the Tasteful Textile embossing folder.

Clean and Simple Note Card

I used my blending brushes to add a soft cloud of Crumb Cake ink to a piece of Basic White cardstock for this card front. Then, I stamped the cactus and pot with Soft Succulent and Night of Navy ink on a scrap of Basic White cardstock and punched them with the Cactus Builder punch.

To attach the small pads, I put multipurpose glue on the bottom of the pads and then added a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to the top. This makes it look like the pads are attached to the plant and popping out.
