Monochromatic Cards with the Friendly Hello Stamp Set and Patterned Paper

Monochromatic cards are often very simple, but these monochromatic handmade cards step things up a bit. I love the beautiful monochromatic papers in the Friendly Hello bundle. There are also colored patterns, but the black, white, and color of these papers is absolutely gorgeous!

Paper Piecing Technique on a Birthday Card

This first card uses paper piecing to color the flowers on this beautiful birthday card. I stamped the flower images on the speckled Fresh Freesia paper with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Then I used my paper snips to cut them out and add them to my card front. I also stamped the flowers on Basic White cardstock and cut out the centers because I wanted them to pop.

Basic Black: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"

Using Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers

For this second card, I started by stamping the leaf branches in Tuxedo Black Memento and white on the Pool Party cardstock. The flowers were also stamped with Memento on Basic White cardstock. Then, I used my Pool Party Stampin' Blends alcohol markers to color the flowers. For the centers, I added some Matte Black Dots.

Basic Black: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"

Friendly Hello in Color

I just couldn't resist sharing another sample card with the Friendly Hello stamp set and patterned paper. This one is multi-colored. I colored the flowers with Pale Papaya, the leaves in Granny Apple Green, and the bird is Pool Party. I added a little Crumb Cake to the center of the flowers and the tree branch. These were so easy to color with the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers!
