Peaceful Place Patterned Paper for Simple and Fancy Handmade Cards

Whether you want to make a super simple Christmas card, a fun birthday card, or a fancy holiday card, the Peaceful Place patterned paper is the perfect solution. It's so elegant! I have three fabulous handmade card ideas to share with you today.

It was hard to tear myself away from all my stamps and papers that arrived yesterday (you can check out the video here), but this patterned paper is so beautiful that I was soon happily crafting away some fun wintry cards.

Simple Christmas Card Idea

The Peaceful Place patterned paper made this card so easy to create! I just layered a little cardstock and stamped the sentiment from the Christmas to Remember stamp set. That's it! It's hard to see in the photo, but the silver highlights on the card are amazing! They are on the snowflakes and the snow on the trees. And I didn't have to do anything because the paper comes that way.

Basic Gray cardstock: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Basic Gray cardstock: 3 3/8" x 4 5/8"

Fun Birthday Card for a Guy or Anyone

While this paper features beautiful snow scenes and is perfect for handmade holiday cards, it also has some fabulous patterns. I love the Basic Gray, White, and Silver combination. I thought it would make a great birthday for a guy or for anyone really. Or maybe you could use it for a milestone birthday!

The circles are cut with the Layering Circle dies and the sentiment is from the Artistically Inked stamp set.

Basic Black: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Basic Gray: 3 3/4" x 5"
Basic White: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"

A Fancy Holiday Card Design

While this scrapbooking paper is perfect for simple cards, it is also a great accent for fancier cards like this one with the Merriest Moments stamp set.

I embossed a piece of 5 1/4" x 4" Basic Gray cardstock with the Dots die. Then, I added strips of two of the different patters from the Peaceful Place Designer Series Paper. I layered another piece of the patterned paper (2 1/2" x 3 3/4") on a piece of Basic Gray cardstock (2 5/8" x 3 7/8"). 

I stamped the poinsettias with Real Red ink and then stamped them again with Versamark and embossed them with clear embossing powder. I embossed the leaves and sentiment on Basic Gray cardstock with white embossing powder. I added some ribbon and Silver Metallic pearls for a little extra bling.

The flowers and leaves are all cut with the coordinating dies. I fussy cut the sentiment and added it on a few Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
