Quick and Easy Funny Smiles

Have you seen the Cute Fruit stamp set in the Beginner Brochure? I love, love, love it! I've been using the fruit to make a number of different cards, but today, I wanted to use just the cute little smiley faces. This stamp set is perfect for beginners! You can also purchase it in a small collection that includes 8 Stampin' Spots, a package of Whisper White cardstock, and a clear block. If you've been thinking about trying stamping and cardmaking, this is the perfect little collection of products to get started! Because it is a Two-Step Stampin' set, it is really easy to get lots of color quickly and easily. Although, today's cards feature a black and white color scheme. Enough talking, on y go! Let's get stamping.

For my first card, I stamped a row of smiley faces with one that is definitely not like the others. I trimmed this out and adhered it to a piece of 4" x 5 1/4" Whisper White cardstock which I then adhered to a Whisper White card base. To add just a punch of color, I stamped "smile" underneath with Gorgeous Grape ink. So quick and easy!

My second card is very similar to my first. It is still basically white on white with a piece of 4" x 5 1/4" Whisper White cardstock on a Whisper White card base. To add a little more texture, I embossed the 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock with the Subtle 3D embossing folder.

I stamped 8 smiley faces in a 3x3 block. I used all of the different faces that are included in the stamp set. In the one left over spot, I stamped "smile" in Gorgeous Grape again. I added a piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock underneath my square of smiley faces and angled it a little. To finish, I added some purple gems from the retired Noble Peacock Rhinestones. Again, so fun and easy!
