I love two-step stamping because you get multiple stamps for one image making it easy to make multi-colored images. But, what do you do if you have just one stamp for an image, like the Wonderful World stamps from Stampin' Up!®, and you'd like to make it multi-colored? Pull out your markers!

For this rubber stamping technique, you'll need to use water-based markers - not alcohol markers. Choose the colors you want to use. Color directly on your stamp in the area that you want each color. "Huff" on the stamp - blow some air on it - to help re-wet it, then stamp on your paper. You'll get a beautiful multi-colored image that is easy to create!

If you'd like to see this technique in action and get more tips, be sure to watch the replay of my YouTube Live where I shared how to make a simple card using this easy card making technique.

I have more samples for you below and the complete supply list. So, on y go! Let's get stamping.

A Simple Card to Say Hello

This is the card that I shared during my live video. It was so quick and easy to make! I started by stamping some images with Rich Razzleberry ink on Rich Razzleberry cardstock. I used a Blending Brush to add a little more Rich Razzleberry ink around the edges.

To create the flowers, I colored the flowers with my Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Write marker and the stems with Mossy Meadow Stampin' Write marker. The sentiment is from the Ranunculus Romance stamp set.

Elegant Thank You Card

I used the same technique for this card. This time, I used the Flirty Flamingo marker for the rose and the Mossy Meadow marker for the stem. I cut the image out using the Stylish Shapes dies.

This card also features the Wonderful World patterned paper that comes with the stamps as a Sale-A-Bration reward. You can get this bundle FREE with a $100 purchase in July & August. How sweet is that?!

Make it Pop with Ink Blending

Instead of making the image multi-colored on this card, I stamped it with Rich Razzleberry ink. Then, I used a blending brush to add Old Olive ink to the edges of the Basic White cardstock. I avoided the stamped image. I also stamped images from the Ranunculus Romance stamp set in Sahara Sand avoiding the images as well. This really helped the flowers pop since the background behind them was still white.

I stamped a sentiment from the Ranunculus Romance stamp set in Rich Razzleberry, cut it out, and adhered it with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Simple Birthday Card

My next sample card idea for you with the Wonderful World stamps and patterned paper is a simple birthday card. I stamped a piece of Rich Razzleberry with some flowers in one corner. The flowers are also Rich Razzleberry. Then, I used a blending brush to add more Rich Razzleberry ink to the outside edges.

The sentiment is from the Plentiful Plants stamp set. After stamping it with Rich Razzleberry ink, I stamped it on Basic White and cut it out with the Stylish Shapes does.

No Stamping Card Idea

My last card idea doesn't use any stamping at all! Instead, I used the Stitched Rectangle dies to cut the floral images from the patterned paper. Then, I added them to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.
