Sneak Peek at Stampin' Up!'s NEW 2022 January-June Mini Catalog

I got a little sneak peek of the 2022 January-June Mini Catalog from Stampin' Up! last week. I am in LOVE with this new Rainbow of Happiness stamp set and dies! They are so cheery and just plain happy! PLUS, during Sale-a-Bration 2022 in January and February, there is a coordinating 6"x6" patterned paper that you can get for FREE with a $50 order. How awesome is that?!?

I have lots of handmade card ideas with the new Rainbow of Happiness stamp set here - from simple stamping ideas with just stamps, ink, and paper, to fun fold card designs! However, I received some other patterned papers and stamp sets too that I haven't played with yet. Be sure to watch the video to see all of the items I received in my sneak peek box!

Simple Stamping Card Idea

This handmade card design uses just stamps, ink, and paper. It was so quick and easy to put together! I stamped the rainbow in Magenta Madness, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, and Bermuda Bay. I layered it on some Mango Melody cardstock, added a little of the Sunshine & Rainbows Sale-a-Bration 2022 patterned paper, and then put it on a Magenta Madness card base. 

Magenta Madness: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Sunshine & Rainbows patterned paper: 3" x 4"
Mango Melody: 3 3/4" x 3"
Basic White (stamped): 3 1/2" x 2 3/4"

Stepped-Up Rainbow of Happiness Card Idea

This card uses the same colors as the simple stamping card above. This time though, I used a few more dies and the new Gingham embossing folder instead of patterned paper. I stamped the rainbow on Basic White and cut it out with the Stitched Rectangle dies. Then, I stamped the sentiment on another piece of Basic White cardstock. I cut the top with the Basic Borders dies and then used the same Stitched Rectangle die to cut the bottom. I adhered it over the Rainbow with Stampin' Dimensionals. I popped on a few of the Artistry Blooms Self-Adhesive Sequins for a little sparkle.

It's hard to see, but the new Gingham embossing folder provides a very fun background on the Magenta Madness card front. I think you're going to LOVE this new embossing folder when it is available in January!

Glittery Rainbow Card Idea

I couldn't resist trying to cut the large rainbow die from the Rainbow Glimmer Paper. I mean, rainbow is in the name, right? I cut the die from two different sections of the paper to get a variety of colors. Then, I layered it on Basic Black cardstock to really help it pop. I embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder. To bright up the back and draw your eye to the greeting, I added a little of the Sunshine & Rainbows patterned paper to the card base.

Another Simple Stamping Card Idea

This simple stamping card idea uses the Sunny Sentiments stamp set that is available in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. I stamped the sentiment in Bermuda Bay on Basic White cardstock. Then, I layered it on the Sunshine & Rainbows patterned paper. This fabulous paper will be available for FREE during Sale-A-Bration 2022 and it works fabulously with the Sunny Sentiments stamps.

For the ribbon, I used the white Crinkled Seam Binding. I colored it with Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends. To curl the ends, I ran them over my Paper Snips.

Fun Fold Rainbow Card

Last week, I shared this fun fold card design that holds a gift card during a Facebook live. I let everyone choose between two different colors and patterned paper. (You can see the design that was chosen over here.) This is the color combination that was left over. Since it was already cut and sitting on my table, I finished it off with a rainbow. 

I stamped the rainbow in Petal Pink, So Saffron, Soft Sea Foam, and Pool Party. The clouds were cut with the coordinating dies from the Sunshine & Rainbows patterned paper. I added a few of the NEW iridescent gems to add a little sparkle to the card front.
