Sneak Peek of the 2023 January-April Mini Catalog and Unboxing

The NEW Sweet Citrus stamp set from Stampin' Up!'s January-April Mini Catalog is perfect for creating bright and cheery cards. Especially when you combine it with the Dandy Designs patterned paper from Sale-A-Bration 2023.

I got a big box of new stamps, papers, dies, and embellishments from the 2023 January-April Mini Catalog from Stampin' Up!® and the Sale-A-Bration brochure. I couldn't resist pulling out some of the new goodies and trying them out!

I also did a live unboxing video over in my Facebook group which I have now reposted to YouTube - you'll have to forgive my appearance - it was very spur of the moment. Seriously, I just couldn't wait to rip into this box. lol.

The Sweet Citrus bundle was one of my favorite new items that I pulled out of the box, so I grabbed it to make a couple of bright and cheery cards. The new Dandy Designs patterned paper from the Sale-A-Bration brochure provided a great background for these oranges and lemons. These cards were the perfect anecdote to the dark and snowy weather happening outside my window.

Zesty Birthday Card with Lemons

I used a Coastal Cabana card base for this handmade birthday card. I cut a piece of the Dandy Designs patterned paper to be 3 3/4" x 5". Then, I cut a second piece that is 2 1/4" x 3 3/4" and adhered it to the bottom.

There is some beautiful new Pool Party grosgrain ribbon in the Mini Catalog. I adhered a piece over the patterned paper near the seam.

I layered the patterned paper on a piece of 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" Coastal Cabana cardstock. Then, I added it to my card front.

For the lemons, I began by stamping them in Daffodil Delight. Then, I embossed them with the coordination embossing folder. Finally, I cut them out with the dies and adhered them to my card front. I added a few flowers in Petal Pink and leaves in Granny Apple Green.

Handmade Card with Sweet Citrus

I love the sentiment on this orange card - "Enjoy the sweeter things in life." What a perfect wish for someone.

I created the card base in Mango Melody and adhered a piece of the Dandy Designs patterned paper to it that is cut 5 1/4" x 4".

Then, I embossed a piece of 3" x 4 1/4" Mango Melody cardstock with the Sweet Citrus Hybrid Embossing Folder. I adhered it to a piece of 3 1/8" x 4 3/8" Daffodil Delight cardstock and use Stampin' Dimensionals to add it to the card front.

For these oranges, I didn't emboss them. I simply stamped them with Mango Melody and cut them out with the coordinating dies.
