Spring Card Ideas for Easter and Mother's Day

Happy day today! The tulips are starting to poke their shoots through the ground. Spring is around the corner, so it seems like a good day for some spring cards! And really, Easter is right around the corner and Mother's Day will be on its heals. It's the perfect time to be thinking about Easter cards and cards for Mom. So, on y go! Let's get stamping.

Easter and Mother's Day card ideas using the Timeless Tulips and Butterfly Brilliance stamp sets from Stampin' Up!

Timeless Tulips for Spring cards

The Timeless Tulips stamp set from Stampin' Up! is perfect for Easter and Mother's Day cards as it has the perfect sentiments and it's full of beautiful tulips, a harbinger of spring! All of today's spring cards use at least one stamp from the Timeless Tulips set with Sahara Sand and Basic Black cardstock. I've added in a different colored cardstock for each card as well.

This card uses Terracotta Tile. I love this color and sadly it will be discontinued in May. It's such a pretty orangish pink and it is definitely perfect for terracotta pots, but it also works well for tulips.

I stamped the tulips on Basic White cardstock and cut them out. The stems and leaves are stamped directly on the Sahara Sand cardstock and the tulip flowers are added with dimensionals. I used the speckle stamp from the Forever Fern stamp set to stamp some Terracotta Tile spots behind the flowers. I also added white baker's twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack and some Matte Black Dots.

Mother's Day card idea with the Timeless Tulips stamp set.

a Bouquet of Tulips on this Card for Mom

A bouquet of tulips is the perfect gift for Mom, and here they are on a card. I stamped the tulips with Blackberry Bliss ink on Sahara Sand cardstock. I cut out three and added them with Stampin' Dimensionals. A bow of Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon ties the bouquet together while the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder adds a little texture to the back.

Butterfly Brilliance for Easter

The new Butterfly Brilliance stamp is perfect for Easter, so I grabbed the sentiment from the Timeless Tulips stamp set to add to my bouquet of butterflies. I stamped the butterflies with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock. I added some speckles in black with the same speckle stamp from the Forever Fern stamp set. Then, I stamped an additional butterfly on Basic White cardstock and cut it with the coordinating dies. I colored the butterfly with So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends.
