Stampin' Friends Blog Hop: 2021 Birthday Bash

The Stampin' Friends are celebrating the start of 2021 with a Birthday Bash! For today's blog hop, we are sharing birthday card ideas and projects. My projects use the new Sweet Strawberry bundle and are the second installment in my Craft Box Challenge Series. Today, I used the supplies in my box to do 3 easy watercolor techniques. I went to an awesome stamping retreat this weekend (read more about that below too!) and was reminded how much I love watercolor techniques! Sweet Strawberry Birthday Card

For my first birthday card idea, I simply stamped the images and then lightly painted water over the top of them. This allowed the ink to run slightly giving the stamped images more of a watercolor look.

Floral Birthday Card Idea

For my second easy watercolor technique, I inked my clear block with Daffodil Delight ink. Then, I brushed water over the block and "stamped" the block on a piece of Basic White Thick cardstock.

Chocolate Gift Box

This fun little matchbox style gift box holds 2 Ghirardelli chocolate squares. The outside of the box is decorated with a sea of flowers. I stamped the flowers with Jet Black Stazon ink and then watercolored them using Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight ink. I added a little Granny Apple Green between the flowers.
