Tips for Coloring People using Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers

Create gorgeous handmade cards to encourage the women in your life with the Stronger Together stamp set from Stampin' Up!®
I was so excited to see the Stronger Together stamp set in Stampin' Up!'s® Annual Catalog! I love Stampin' Up! and their stamps, but they don't usually have stamps that actually have people who look like they are BIPOC. So, these stamps feel like a huge step! I'm really hoping to see more diversity in their images.

During my YouTube live, I shared how to use the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers to color these images of people, including using the new Natural Tones blends (p. 128). If you missed it, you can catch the replay from this post. I have a great downloadable chart that you can grab for FREE below that will allow you to color swatch out the Natural Tones Blends. It's really helpful for when you have a specific look in mind or are trying to make your image look like a specific person.

And of course, you'll find the link to the complete supply list below as well.

Ok, on y go! Let's get stamping.

Girl Power Card of Encouragement

I always love the soft look of combining Petal Pink and Calypso Coral. They are such warm pink colors that work perfectly for this encouragement card.

I embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder on a circle of Calypso Coral. The small hears were stamped on Petal Pink cardstock with Calypso Coral ink and then colored with Petal Pink and light Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends. I cut them out and layered them on the front like embellishments.
Send this card off to your favorite girls and let them know just how awesome they are! This fabulous stamp comes from the Stronger Together stamp set from Stampin' Up!®

Stronger Together Encouragement

These women are definitely stronger together. I added a hint of destressed gold specialty paper and some gold sequins and gold cord to give this card a little sparkle. It doesn't show well in the photo, but I also colored over the word "stronger" with my light Petal Pink Stampin' Blend to help it pop a little.

Hey Girl - You Rock!

I love the message of this card because you definitely rock! I moved away from pink for this card idea and used the more earthy Crumb Cake and Soft Suede combination. Again, I added some Distressed Gold specialty paper and gold sequins for a bit of sparkle.

Here is a free downloadable chart for you to swatch out the Natural Tones Blends. To see how I did, watch the video replay above.
